About "The Pedant"...A clarification, not a poem.

I enjoyed reading the poem by Bill that seemed to be about my poem “The Pedant”
I don’t know what it is about this poem that makes people think that it is about “Them”,
it just seems to strike a chord in some people I think. Indeed, when I first posted it, a good friend on the corner wondered if it was about him, and he asked me as much in a private email, which I happily answered in the negative.
I am ashamed to admit that I did actually write it about a “Someone”, and confided to the aforesaid friend at the time that I wrote from frustration at the mails I was receiving at that time, about my first book of poems, “dreamweaver”, from my publisher, that, being the “Someone.”
Now, unless I was gifted with extraordinary foresight and malice aforethought I could not have written this about Bill, as, if anyone would care to look, it was posted Fri. July 16th 2010.
I wanted to set this right, because whatever anyone thinks of this particular poem it was NOT written, to the best of my knowledge, about anyone resident now or ever at this corner.
I hope this clears the matter about this poem now, and that it is put to rest.
In my opinion, this place was always a respite, and a comforting haven for those on CS wanting to get away from the Forums and Profiles that can be very brutal, and forthright. Also a place for people wanting to write poetry for whatever reason. When I last looked it didn’t say anywhere in the guidelines that spelling had to be perfect or that everything had to rhyme….Or, that you had to even be an aspiring poet at all!
However, it does ask that if you cannot be constructive and offer encouragement in comment, (I am paraphrasing here), pass it by without comment. I think mainly, this above all should be followed, after all not everyone is very literate in English, and misunderstandings easily happen.
Thank you for reading this explanation and my opinion. I truly hope that it clarifies a “Muddy puddle”. Please keep writing everyone, in whatever way you feel fit, for nobody’s poems are here to be judged by anyone, just enjoyed, and by many more than will ever comment or contribute to this corner. There is no such thing as good or bad poetry, only good or bad opinions about poetry. Remember, what you say here is read around the world.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew.

Valley of Poetry (CS Poets)

Poets to the left of me
Poets to the right of me
Into the valley of poetry
Wrote steve1223

Billiegirl shot a poem across my bow
Quickly I had to recover
Duck down as elo fired in succession
Fell over, escaped Fellsman's broad salvo

Things were getting rather hot
As thelmatalla joined the fray
Paloma and niah joined together
Firing round after round

Marikia tried to bring some peace
But poets kept on firing
Poems were flying through the air
And landing all around me

I could see the names written
Country lady and some by swade
There was Janze, Happygolucky and jazzy
Poetnumber1, kickit and Redex

Just as I thought it was safe to move
Freepoetry let loose with half a dozen
Andrew decided to take some shots
And so did agoodguy2have

Odette waved a flag of truce
And Ladybee tried to restore order
But cafetwo would have none of that
Nor would boyshchrm and mcradloff

Pilgrimageoflove lived up to name
Tossed poems dripping with love
Fjames and hedistuff combined
And tossed them left and right

I waved the flag, I yelled stop
No more, cease and desist
I give up, you all win
This fight so fairly fought

You've all worked hard
The title to earn
I pronounce you one and all
Poets of Greatness

Ode to Connecting Singles...............

Welcome to C.S. on line
A place to chill with a glass of wine

Time to choose a user name,
Boy oh boy there's lots the same.

Now for the password what to choose
Whatever I pick there's nothing to lose.

Choose a photo, which will it be,
I guess it's best to look like me

At last I'm in and ready to play
Who shall I contact first today:

People here from everywhere,
Hurry up no time to stare

I'll send a flower he looks nice
Hope he doesn't want advice!

Got a reply oh how sweet.
I'm not so keen now ,press delete

Goodness me ,my mailbox is red!
Hope it's from that guy called Fred

In the forums to shed some light,
Goodness me not another fight

Don't agree with everyone
What the hell,it's all good fun.

So lighten up, enjoy ,it's fine
Meeting up on the C.S. line

Poet's Corner Bash ( More Poets added onto)

Kickit rolled into town
Tyres hot and smoking
Pulled up next to Billiegirl's van
A Kombi with purple flowers
Hand in hand they walked along
Slyly stealing kisses
Round and around the poets cheered
Two legends to see united
Jazzy was there pacing around
Busy writing some poetry
Finding out that's not so easy to write
One that smokes with intensity
Pinkpoetress was helping her
Encouraging her writing
Happygolucky when she arrived
Off into the woods she ran
Last words heard 'one of these frogs'
Then out she came with handsome man
Surely a Prince of some sort
Only thing that seemed bit strange
Was the glow of green from skin
There was Redex with brush in hand
Practising poetry for performance
Back and forth she waved it around
Until finally she was happy
Poetnumber1 in Porsche arrives
With lots of girls in tow
Just came back from holidays
With all his fresh new poems
Earlgreytea so sober stood
Conversing with SundaySilence
Inside the place was really jumping
Up stood elo to read new poem
This poem titled 'Frustrated'
He waved his hand, a hush fell
And then he spoke his poem

Frustrated

The crowd went wild for never before
Had they heard a poem so succinct
A poem of only one word
That was never heard of before
Next came Fellsman, a man, a legend
Who's poetry was so precise
The crowd so silent, mouths wide open
The words as sweet as honey
The words they rhymed back and forth
They rhymed up and down
And just to show how good he was
He rhymed them inside out
One after another up they came
There was niah and marikia
With Topaz underfoot
Followed by Odette and andrew
Agoodguy and cafetwo and Country Lady
Netman, boyshchrm and paloma
Thelmatalla up she stood
To read her 'I Love You CS Poets'
Swade read while Ladybee watched
And Mcduff made ready to recite
Ayhra though tired from Adelaide came
Not wishing to miss the bash
Itchywitch from Ireland flew in
On a sad old tired broom
And even freepoetry made appearance
SunNieS gLinnTing bY StagELighT
One by one up they went
Then finally it finished
The crowd was hoarse and with aching hands
All worn out and tired
The day was done
Each read their work
Next year there'll be another

Goodbye to one and all (NOT A POEM)

Just like to thank those that have been kind to me the short time i was here. I have been lucky enough to find my love on here and will spend my time on that. Might pop in once in a while to read some of the poetry. There are so many brilliant poets here. Sorry that I did not get to comment to all of them. Thank you one and all for your kindness.

To c.s. or not c.s.

To c.s. or not to c.s. , that is the question , I pondered , to venture once again , would I make a new friend , or would my efforts flounder. I entered the game , put my picture and name , began my lovelorn search. To my shock and amaze , new friends came my way , and found that this thing really works. I blog and I write poetry with delight , I have made some most wonderful friends. Dates and good friends , my fun has no end , and just may have the love of my life....

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

CHRISTMAS MAIL
I have a list of people I know, all logged in my computer,
And now at Christmas time I have gone to take a look.

And that is when I realize that these names are a part,
Not of the computer they're stored in, but of my heart.
For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,
And in that meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme.
And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,
I feel that I'm composed of each remembered name.

And while you may not be aware of any special link,
Just meeting you has changed my life, a lot more than you think!
For once I have met somebody, the years cannot erase,
The memory of a pleasant word (or E-mail) or of a friendly face.
So never think my Christmas E-mails are just a mere routine,
Of names upon an address list, forgotten in between.

For when I do a Christmas E-mail that is addressed to you,
It's because you're on the list of people I'm indebted to.
And whether I have known you for many years or few,
In some way you have been a part of shaping things I do.
And now that Christmas has come, I realize anew,
The best gift life can offer is meeting people like you.

Rabid Dogs of Blog

It can be risky
Posting a blog
Flaying myself open
Like a sardine can
Or a lid off a can of
Soup

Many rabid dogs
Wait
White foamy bubbles
Collecting in the corners of
Their "smiles"

It is the freedom of
Speach
The freedom to insult
The freedom to make light
And so it goes

I protect myself against
The angry rabid dogs
Of Blog

I pull on my heavy
Jeans that sing the blues
I slip my arms
Into my leather
Armor
And I lace up my
Steel-toed boots

Ready to take a walk
In the land of Blog

But that's not all
I have my Glock that
Rocks
In hand and safety off
And I am ready to
Defend myself

The Right to Bear Arms
The right to stare a
Bully in their narrow eyes
I am ready to swing my arm
Around

Halt, with open sight
Resting between the eyes
Of those rabid smiling dogs of Blog

Girlfriend or wife?

Sure you are petty; you look good behind! I labeled you sexy, that, you didn't mind. You are well educated, there is no doubt. I feel so elated, when we "make-out". Oh! what a cleavage: those georgeous-breast express. You perfect "that image", in your pretty dress. You got it all; makes the eyes desire! Men will always "call", while friends will admire. You are so comely; girl you're so cute! I say so sincerely, i say so in-truth. Let's talk about marriage, the nuptials, the "we". Letting go the "baggage"; let's silence the "me"!. So my dear, woman, prepare to be a wife! "Be ready", for a Husband, or "girlfriend" for life! Be a woman of virtue, a woman of praise! With character to admire; not a body for "gaze". Second grade is girlfriend; it's the inferior life! virtue and beauty blend, turns girlfriend into wife!
