Sparkling crystal flakes floating
Down from Heaven above
Covering all things with a coating
Of white showing God’s love
Peaceful quiet prevails around
The moon shining on the blanket of white
As God’s love has muffled all sound
Reflecting sparkling diamonds in the light
Listening to the sounds of the night
You can hear Angels singing in the sky
Celebrating the Glory of God’s might
Gossamer wings softly beating up high
This is the night that God was born on earth
They are celebrating His triumphant arrival
That night long ago when Mary gave birth
As the Old Testament foretold in the Bible
Glory – Glory on High Heaven and Earth
Our King and Prince of Peace has arrived
He has come to give us the miracle of rebirth
For Immanuel “God with Us” is alive!

About a year ago I was stood up
I thought I had a date, and all was fine.
I'd gone to Bradbury Pub I had up cups
To meet a girl I thought who would be mine
For a date that night - when do I have enough?
Or was I just another man in line?
Though I've had enough of Plenty of Fish*
Easy to meet on there? oh how I wish!
The night was chill - the middle of the winter
I was drawn away from my nice warm hearth.
When the girl didn't show - t'was like a splinter
Had been driven right into my open heart.
T'was a tavern where I'd gone to meet her
So in this tavern is where my story starts.
The pub (as I've noted) was in Bradbury
A nice suburban place for company.
Saturday night;- the inn was rather crowded
(The usual crowd in outer suburbia).
On this dark night, the suburb now enshrouded,
While within were patrons - some the worse for wear.
With each beer, my mind became more clouded
Two hours had almost past - where was she - where?
Well maybe some other lucky man has scored
(I was thinking) as I looked up at the tote board.
Saturday night trots- they were at Menangle
The pub (as most do) had a TAB.
I hadn't come to bet;- the odds to wrangle
(And all I wanted was some company).
I hadn't planned, with the tote to tangle
(Though it seem'd there was a horse there just for me).
Well-performed;- a real strong "son of a gun"
I couldn't believe it said "fifteen to one".
Well, I had bought two hundred dollars with me
Enough (I thought) for a taxi, and some drinks
Though now it seemed, there wouldn't be a lady
So I'll have a bet and then leave (methinks).
Well, the horse strode clear - and won - it was pay day
(To me this horse was just as good as Winx).^
With ten each way, I'd won two hundred dollars
So who needs thoroughbreds,- and Chris Wallers?
Two hundred that I'd bought was now one fifty
(That's give or take seven or eight cold beers)
And with two hundred won, was now three fifty
I collected at the tote, and told them "cheers".
Well now I'm pissed, and thinking kinda shifty
I throw caution to the wind and lose my fears
And did something I'd rarely do when sober
That's play the "slots" and turn the money over.
Americans call 'em slots - that's our pokies
And I (for one) wouldn't recommend to you
This mode of gaming I'd call "hokey pokey"
(Put your money in;- and you're mostly screwed).
You think you're gonna win? Well, are you joking?
(Your currency, it slips fast out of view).
Electronic farce, and tricks,- deceit and lies
They'll steal the pennies from your granny's eyes.
I guess I played that night 'cause I was miffed
Being lured all that way to the boondocks.
Being left all alone, and being stiffed
It serves me right for thinking with my c*ck.
My mood was low, and wouldn't seem to lift
(I expected the machine'd take all I've got).
When suddenly that slot began to feature
Well, ain't Lady Luck a funny creature?
To cut the story short, I won two thousand!
And decided to take the money, there,- and run.
I collected the fat wad which I trousered
Then thought I might go out and buy some fun.
Hailing a taxi cab (which I then ordered)
"Take me to the House of the Rising Sun
Well Aussie cabs are silver, and not yellow
And by the Rising Sun- I mean Bordello.
The house of ill repute,- of which I speak
Was one a fair distance from my home
I'll not "name names",- and though the flesh is weak
It's better than going home pissed and alone.
Once inside I felt as must feel a sheik
Being pampered in a room of one's own
A private room,- if only for one hour
The lady's name was "Carla"- a sweet flower.
The flower of which I speak, was from Asia
Her English not so good;- It didn't matter
When tasting all the forms of love's fantasia
One doesn't ask for elocution's chatter
Well, there's no more room now, on the page here
For me to go, and further tell of Carla
Beautiful? Yes - though a lady of the night
I'd been stood up - though it turned out alright

*** An outer South West Sydney (semi rural) suburb.
**** TAB (Totalisator Agency Board) betting shop.
***** Winx - very famous Australian racehorse.
****** Trainer of Winx

^ Just sticking up for the trots (harness races). I would never run down Winx, who is undeniably the World's Best Racehorse.
(What I mean, in the context of this poem, is that Winx is just so incredibly good, that she always starts at short odds; and is therefore not a viable betting proposition).

She wrote it in the night
salvation in the message
hope in those passages
like the words
of a thousand priests
fasting for the feasts
read it slow, read it slow
in the low light low
raining down the gutters
seeping from the shutters
love in the flood
after the sacrifice
She wrote it with delight
as the mountain calls the rains
free from the pains
like the words
of the shepherds old
come in from the cold
read it slow, read it slow
in the low light low
raining down the gutters
seeping from the shutters
love in the flood
after the sacrifice

Molding of Man
I feel that if life were a loaded gun I'd run to it
No longer stuck feeling the pain, I'm numb to it
I don't think anyone's built like me, maybe some congruent
Not everyone can come to the flames and walk thru it
I've been in the lions den, I've been in the lake of snakes
That's why it's so easy to tell the real from the fakes
Hear my name trashed in a crowd, you're getting mixed reviews
I did some dirt, I might deserve it, let's not get confused
There's only one who's rightous and has the right to judge us
He holds the world in his hands without holding grudges
To some he gives substance, to others he deals justice
It's for us to decide where we take the punches
If God's son were a king and not a tyrant
Would we be teaching his lessons today or remained silent
Our sins are copious and evident but at the same time irrelevant
Cause every person has a sin they commit daily for the hell of it
The struggle is real and God warned us of these troubles bro
He built us all to be conquerors but also to reap what we sow
Look I aint tryin to stress ya or make you feel lesser
Remember diamonds don't come out shining without feeling the pressure

Megan's Story:
So this girl named Megan, she was sitting on a curb
Analyzing a life that she didn't deserve
She was born with no money, her dad was always on the road
Her mother cheating on her father with a man that he knows
You see Megan was a free thinker, she had a mind of her own
She was popular in school but couldn't help feeling alone
That was until she met Chris, he was the man of her dreams
You know a good looking guy, captain of the football team
See Chris knew the game, he had a plan in the works
But to get what he wanted she had to fall for him first
Started texting awhile, called her baby and love
He would say anything, it was a part of gaining her trust
Then one Friday night Chris hit up her phone
He said come to this party instead of sitting at home
She was never the party type but she would go out tonight
He said good put on your clothes I'll be over in five
When Chris got to her house, he called said he's outside
She left thru the window and went and hopped in his ride
He made sure he told her it wasn't a great part of town
But she knew she could feel safe as long as Chris was around
Before Chris got to the party, he was making a stop
He had an 8-ball he was fixing to cop
He rolled up to the crib, walked up to the house
Then four dudes in all black with ski masks jumped out
They grabbed Chris, put a gun in his mouth
They said where the f*ck she at? Bring her up to the house
Chris walked to the car, grabbed her hand and said come
She told him she was scared, he said there's nowhere to run
They got her in the crib, told her to sit in the chair
She started to scream help but you see Chris didn't care
This was all the plan, Chris owed them a debt
See he was robbed for a G now he's paying them back
They tied her hands together, duct tape over her mouth
Ripped off her clothes and started banging her out
She was looking over at Chris and Chris just turned his back
He knew it was either this or he would die for a stack
They didn't stop there, one dude had a knife
And he had no problem taking an innocent life
When they were done, they threw her into a van
They closed the door and untied her hands
Drove to the park, dropped her off in the grass
Ripped the tape off her mouth, got in the van and they left
They thought it was just a f*ck but they had no clue
That little Megan, well she could keep secrets too
Tho she had died that night Karma still had a plan
And it was about to bite every one of them men
Later that night Chris went back to the crib
Five cops were waiting, they already knew what he did
He got twenty-five to life, with a chance of parole
He got what he deserved cause his heart was so cold
But for them other dudes, they got life with disease
You see little Megan was living with HIV.

The day before yesterday the plumber came
to examine my drain
with the water running into it
day and night
he looked at me
I looked at him
its not coming from the pipes he said
it could be from under your concrete slab
or a broken pipe in your walls
either option sounded dreadful to me
I pictured mining under my house
or removing half my bathroom
I rang the insurance
$1,500 maximum cover
but he said dig down
beside the drain
and we will get a closer look
at that flow
call me back
Yesterday I dug
and there it was
the entry point for water
to my house
burst
miraculously
finding its way through the drain housing
and into the drain
plumber returned
easy fix
best Xmas present
a man could have
Merry Xmas all :)

Im a director of movies, and so are you, I am famous, so are you too, you started with nothing, you have written the script, oh how it show be, and what people will see,,, are you poverty stricken? or eatiing kentucy fried chicken? Are the extras moving in?,, of where you have been?,,,have you somthing more to give?,, or are you happy how you live?
How will you direct where you go from here?, allow someone else,, because of your fear? Remember you are the director of where you go,, how you live,,,you make it so!
Tommorrow will come, if we are here, and if it does not,, dont worry,,, nothing to fear.

I remember the light, beckoning me home, the promise of love,I wont be alone, so I followed the light, in wonderment and awe, now Ill tell you where I went and what I saw, a tunnel I followed, with light at the end, come into our world my dearest friend, there were people there at the end of the light, to hold me close, to hold me tight, I felt that they loved me, they welcomed me home, to be with them and never alone, so I stayed, and grew to know, this is how it is,, this is so,, thats how it was, but then I died, I saw the the light,,, a tunnel of love, I'd been there before, I know what that means,, its not what it seems.

With a whole lot to say
At the bottom of that ballot
Was a box for an X.
Yet you studdered in pen
What you needed to say.
Look around you it's real
Beyond media hype!
Genial circus
With membership growth!
Self imposed blinders
Keeping it calm!
The future is yours
Yet in shadow you lurk!
My God can't you see
What's inside of that train
It keeps passing by
As each ticket is sold!
All future resides on our words being said
Yet, you curl up in a corner ingesting the news!
While it floats on by your reasonable mind.
Diversion attraction call it what you may
You're are part of the price the future must PAY!

About this poem:
What say you to this!I believe most people will shy away from a reply here, because of being afraid to speak out against what's in front of them. So it go'es to show that fear tactics work. I believe I'm here for a reason, not too sure what that reason is, but I'll not let fear interupt what I feel needs to be said.
