hold me like the moon
go round and round the sky
all the broken things inside me
are going to learn to fly

Pillars of a Lifetime

Ignorance is innocence,
what is it I've become?
The pillar of my sanity,
I've yet to overcome.
They fall, as they crumble in my wake,
these pillars I have come to love,
I now can only rake.

Take away the pain from me,
what remains but the shell?
The hollowed essence of a man,
not sane enough to tell.
Sanity alone, not the only one that fell,
these pillars I have come to loathe,
have buried me as well.

DOES A GOD EXIST IV

Is there a God... What happens after we die... Why are we here?
questions with answers mans smartest Stephen Hawking can't make clear
Most humans share a 'Faith' promising paradise after this life's through
they too worship an "Immortal Being" without definitive proof it's true

The subject of religion gets people riled unlike anything in our history
I'd surmise our existence would be less worrisome if void of mystery
"IF" a deity created humans he wantonly damned us I respectfully argue
He commands his greatest creation not commit the sins he wired us too

"You'll be healed If you believe with all your heart when you pray"...
a real 'Father' would assure 'his children didn't suffer in any way
I can't recall ANY love or mercy coming from the recluse invisible man
Once again I proclaim I own as much hope as one possibly can

Whether you do or don't believe must be the individuals choice
some lash out with vitriol to those who don't share their voice
With my heart and soul I still try believing theirs something to the myth
"FACT"... if I can't speak definitive truth about whatever I plead the fifth

NOTHING has shown it's worthy of blind faith so my amount is none
to appease and deter future contempt concerning this subject, I'm done!

About this poem:
What is is...What will be will be...
This is what I think and don't need any to agree.

Bad Buoy (Really?)

rough seaweed
washed through storms

a waited time
stilted to a crash
waves
seeking darkness
fulfilling a loneliness

a wash with whiteness
battling
rocks

Stormy weather

reaps its find
to take away
the curse

of you

FREEDOM AND LOVE

MY LOVE
HOW DELICIOUS IS WINNING
OF A KISS AT LOVE'S BEGINNING,
WHEN TWO MUTUAL HEARTS ARE SIGHING
FOR THE KNOT THERE'S NO UNTYING!
YET REMEMBER, MIDST OUR WOOING,
LOVE HAS BLISS, BUT LOVE HAS RUING;
OTHER SMILES MAY MAKE YOU FICKLE,
TEARS FOR OTHER CHARMS MAY TRICKLE
LOVE HE COMES AND LOVE HE TARRIES,
JUST AS FATE OR FANCY CARRIES;
LONGEST STAYS, WHEN SOREST CHIDDEN;
LAUGHS AND FLIES, WHEN PRESSED AND BIDDEN.
BIND THE SEA TO SLUMBER STILLY,
THEN BIND IT'S ODOUR TO THE LILY,
BIND THE ASPEN NE'ER TO QUIVER,
THEN BIND LOVE TO LAST FOREVER.
LOVE'S A FIRE THAT NEEDS RENEWAL
OF FRESH BEAUTY FOR IT'S FUEL:
LOVE'S WING MOULTS WHEN CAGED & CAPTURED,
ONLY FREE, HE SOARS ENRAPTURED.
CAN YOU KEEP THE BEE FROM RANGING
OR THE RINGDOVE'S NECK FROM CHANGING?
NO! NOR FETTER'D LOVE FROM DYING
IN THE KNOT THERE'S NO UNTYING.

YOUR LANCEALOT
CHRISTOPHER

The Arabian Horse

On the cusp of beauty, you were born
Before this World had its modern form.

Atavar and Spirit much older than us
Existence formed from the deserts' dust.

Imprinted in time, dissolved on the wind
Generous in spirit, eye that is kind.

Giving your blood to the World's other breeds
Improving the type, producing proud steeds.

Your form is beauty, power, and grace
Down storied time your bloodlines I trace.

The Feast

The devil sets the table every day
A huge feast of the best foods you can imagine
Steak and lobster
Chicken breasts and French fries covered in cheese and bacon
Pizza with sausage, pepperoni, green olives and mushrooms
Cheese burgers and tacos
Chinese food and barbeque ribs
All of this and more
More than anyone could eat
Only
You have to use a four foot long fork
Only this utensil can be used to eat
The devil laughs at the people
He laughs at them starving in front of all the food they could ever want
In heaven the same feast is prepared every day
The same rule applies
You have to use a four foot long fork
Everyone gets plenty to eat
Because they have learned to feed each other
Just like they did when they were alive
The people in hell only helped themselves when they were alive
It would never dawn on them to feed each other
That is their curse
And that is why they are in hell

About this poem:
I was watching Ms. Scrooge and heard this story told by a preacher. It is a retelling of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. My favorite retelling of this story is Bill Murray's Scrooge.

Ice King

Fearless, heartless, empowered by hate,
I stand alone, in darkness delight,
a towering blight, untouchable and great,
crushing the dreams of all I forsake.

The cries that remain only fuel my disdain,
I laughed in their face as they withered in pain,
freezing their tears to expand on my reign.

One by one, they crash into my walls,
wave by wave, they perish and fall.
It was you that brought an end to it all,
searing your way through, into my hall.

Awestruck and jaded, I refused your words,
whilst my castle invaded by singing white birds,
you implore that I listen and decide afterwards.

My halls, they echoed incredible song,
her beauty, her eyes, could not resist long.
The ice walls had melted, my heart became warm,
I felt like a rainbow in the eye of a storm.

Years had gone bye, so many, so few,
the feeling of love, I once never knew,
nor the feeling of pain, until I fell for you.

Hopeless, thoughtless, destroyed by fate,
I sit alone, in relentless daylight,
an embarrassing sight, as all cheer and sing,
"The Ballad of the Lonely Ice King."

Edge of the Sea

Into harsh waters and bright foreign mist,
we sailed through the fog and into abyss.
The shoreline wall, out of nowhere it came,
surviving my brethren and screaming in vain.

Washed up on shore, beneath a near distant sun.
I trek farther and farther, yet feel I never begun.
The walking, tiresome and endless it seems,
but what's atop those hills that I see,
a silhouette in the glare of the sun's awful beams?
As I walk closer, I tremble in fear,
perhaps it's a witch, a siren, demon or seer.

My fears go unfounded as I'm awed in a trance,
I can't look away from her soft graceful dance.
Naked beneath a lonely pale tree,
she looks in my eyes as she descends to me.
Her hands are so smooth and ever so fair as
she runs her fingers through my wet filthy hair.
My mind filled with hope, encumbered with glee,
I only now ask, just how this could be?
How could this have happened to me?
My head bitten off at the edge of the sea.

FRIEND-ZONED

Forever it seemed, many hours a day,
she waited alone with no words to say.
Her husband had told her, time and again,
to question or talk was an insult to him.
For years and years, as time went right bye,
she never considered to just say goodbye.

Her friend, her best friend in fact,
spent many quiet years in fear of how she'd react.
What was it he yearned to say? Was silence the only way?

Overwhelmed and drowning in a sea of despair,
the years that she lost became too much to bear.
Afraid and alone, yet once again,
her shroud of apathy begins to cave in
as tears pierce through her lonesome veil,
the pillow muffled her explosive wail.

For several minutes, hours it seemed,
she cried, she whimpered and screamed,
but in a moment she shuttered in fear,
a knock on the door was quite plain to hear.
She struggled to wipe the tears from her eyes
as she stumbles to the door while repairing her guise,
she opens the door and to her surprise,
she finds herself the passenger as her best friend drives
and they live happily for the rest of their lives.
