Death of my Fiance

The pendulum swings.......
both ways....equally as far.

And so the heights my heart once knew,
now too,
must know it’s sorrows.

And though I hold no fault
with its ensuing arc

I wish that I could alter
the stubbornness,
of my heart.

The vastness of one’s solitude
the depth of one’s void

can only be judged....
by the comparison

that I have come
to learn.

Pain is a longing
that can never be fulfilled
torment is wanting
and knowing it never will
happen.

Lonliness,
is like a reaching
to nowhere.
Like grasping empty space..

Just Tell Me

Ah!..but if it was just so easy...
and I could go to Dunkin Donuts
and pay a price, and pick you out
among the precious tray of culinary delights,
and bring you home and take a bite
of ecstasy.
Rows of trays, so artfully designed
sprinkles, white and pink and brown
creamy custard centers, dripping with honeydew
and then there was... YOU.
And if your outer cover
was the plainest in the tray
I'd still pick YOU, each and every day.
For God creates that special one
that satisfies beyond
the palate and the tongue.
and touches your heart and soul
like no other... One.
If only, there was but, a simple price to pay
I'd buy your heart.

Come Hither To Me

Come hither to me
and our passions will rise
as the sea
builds and swells
within itself.

And our spasms will crest
as we ride each new wave
and soon will forget
that there were ever
any other names........
or faces
To those of the past
who abused the delicacy of our feelings
and cared not enough to make it last
nor valued what was to be enjoyed
not exploited,
what was meant to be a gift
not a demand

Come hither to me
cause I understand
what it is you have to give
and that is all
I ask
to have.

Here it comes

Oh year! Oh year! where did you go,
Will the next be any better we would all like to know.
I ask the new will you make us glad,
That this time this coming year will not be as bad.
It's no stopping the quickness,' as we have served ones like you before
A different number a different date that we know are in store...
So out with the old in with the new
And thank God for the red white and blue.

Let me see....!

This lost evening i shelter all unborn The fruits of all innocence I not scorn, for they be your core to your love sweetness, Now take thee hand as you i bless, All the wealth on this Flowered earth, For i do submit you to this birth, and from the Womb into the Tomb you entwine, The blissful birth of all Mankind,,,,,,,,,,you do ,

A Life

Barely three with a gentle heart,
always wants to play her part,
an apple fallen from the tree,
always awaits what life can be.

Seven now and real tears come,
life is still simple in the home,
but away the evil babes do wait,
hoping she will take their bate.

Eleven and the eye sees clear,
no more days of silly fear,
the babes still flock but only by day,
to her parents she cant come to say.

Now fifteen and all hell falls,
she ignores the taunting boys who call,
sitting quiet unlike the rest,
holding her pain in her breast.

Sixteen and oh what can be done,
She doesn't know now where to run,
Sitting waiting to be found,
They approach without a sound.

Seventeen, and all is quiet,
There is no mention, no riot.
The babes are leaving, going far away.
She cant find words now left to say.

Eighteen, the year now of present,
Something has come, something pleasant.
She is still quiet but her eyes are open,
No more words need be spoken.

She is a girl, like any other.
Nothing special other than she came from her mother.
But still she finds care in a man,
And if her mind opens, then surely she can.

Something so sweet is in his word,
with gentle phrase she is fully assured,
he holds her hope with gentle hands,
If only, they were not separated by lands.

But still she smiles, she knows all is well,
because no longer is she living in hell,
no now she has known something new,
Something she knows, only experienced by few.

Our Song

I see you sitting by the shore,
Your lullaby rings in my ears.
I knew our love was ever more,
But still you saw my tears.

You coddled me with plea and silk,
I sang our song in turn.
I found you to be a strange ilk,
I took my chance to learn.

We walked along until sea’s end,
And turned on tip and toe.
We smile once and then we bend,
My memories faint are so.

So sweet our love we hope to keep,
Like bird sweet to ear and sight.
We thought our love would surely reap,
Like a lovers special rite.

We walk around in circle clear,
The elements bless our accord,
Sweet to smell the sage does sear,
Any consequence we find we afford.

Our song is soon bound to soul,
Your lullaby is our duet,
As years go on our times will toll,
Just like Russian roulette,

Year seventy is the first shot,
That bug held my heart,
Seventy-five is the slot,
Where I read your surgery chart.

But soon we hear those faithful bells,
Of course right before the bang,
We will hear the cleric tell,
But I only heard what you sang.

About this poem:
I felt sad when I wrote this, because in reality, eventually, we all die and leave loved ones behind. But I was happy too, because being with someone to the very end, may make life so happy, that when you die its just another thing you share with that someone. So really, death doesn't have to be a sad thing. At least I don't believe so.
