Absolutely, I adored Wales, it's unforgettable and I totally fell in love with it.
But the grinding poverty and filth that so many live in on a day-to-day basis is also unforgettable .. and also unforgiveable when compared with the astounding wealth and comfort enjoyed by some.
hairymonkey: Yes, but I get even more tired of reading them.
Well, I gotta say, I dont know who you are or what you are, and I really dont care, but your sheep threads crack me up and always bring a smile to my face so thats good enough for me.
Hi hairymonkey. Sheep country here in down under New Zealand. It's spring here and the spring bulbs are busy pushing through the soil as are my vegetables. I am 76 and still enjoying all this. Take care and God bless From Kate100
bestbefore: Considering the coal mining disaster with 4 men dead, that has just taken place in this beautiful country, I would say that this thread is in pretty poor taste at the moment.

I agree, besides, Wales is a beautiful country, with majestic mountains and amazing lakes, their own special language unpronounceable by most English people, Cardiff the capitol is a stunning city and the welsh people, once they come to accept you,are generous to a fault. Famous not just for the singers like tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler and Shirley Bassey, but what about Dylan Thomas, Richard Burton, Roald Dahl,T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) and Sir Harry Secombe to name but a fraction of respected welsh people. It may be a tiny country compared to American states, but produced some very famous and worthwhile people.

When I see Araf Araf on the roads I can't help but think of Snoopy from peanuts, its sounds like something he would say when laughing I have always also loved the fact that they charge you for entering Wales via the Severn bridge, but its free to leave

Dylan Thomas wasnt bad ,but they reckon he reached his peak in writing when he was 21 .
The rest of his life he spent down a Bargain Booze .
