Dude...

Republicans have passed more than 30 jobs bills that remove barriers to job growth, cut red tape, and help keep jobs in America (and bring home some of the jobs that have gone overseas). These bills remain blocked by Senate Democrats

laugh laugh laugh The New York Times???

In a recent Pew poll, the legendary paper of record was voted less “believable” than ABC News, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, NBC news, and CBS News. What a comedown for the Grey Lady.

Not only is the paper considered less trustworthy than most others news organizations, the decline has been sharp. The average believability of the 13 news organizations reviewed was 56%; the Times came in at 49%. (The Wall Street Journal comes in at 58%, by comparison.) Whereas trust in all those outfits has dropped in recent years, the Times has fared worse than most. Since 2010, their rating has sunk from 58 to 49.

For a paper that boasts a proud heritage and certainly a devoted following among liberals, this should be worrisome.

Hot_Single_Dude: Really Monte! in the middle of still mess in the economy you want a guy being the president of the USA? A guy whose mission have been cleaning up companies for assets , selling the know how to China and esle where, firing americna workers and making a mess of their personla retirenment savings... and the dang guy been the head of a corporate raider organisation which even working at needs being a major carelss AH, and a guy is not willing to show his tax records and have piles of money in Swiss and other crook states around the world... You want that guy being the president of the country? Should Ameria only be great to live in for the filty rich one procent?

Dude, I'm not political savvy like you, Tom and Wish are. I have to go by what affects me directly which is that I lost my job two years ago. The reason was because the law firm I worked at was forced to downsize and in one week seven people lost their job.

Even though I am a senior I am perfectly capable of working but I cannot find a job because no one wants to hire a 70 year old woman. I understand that. Why should a company hire me, spend time and money to invest in me knowing that I will probably leave there in 5-8 years. If I didn't lose my job I wouldn't have lost my 401k, medical insurance, personal and vacation time and a healthy salary.

I went on unemployment and was doing okay until it ended this past May. Now I am in dire straights and I'm not joking or embelishing the situation just to make a point in a thread. The economy went in the sewer and you know why. That's how Obama effected me directly. I'm not better off then I was before he took office so why should I take a chance on him. I didn't vote for him the first time around....I voted for McCain....not because I wanted McCain in the white house. I did it to keep Obama OUT of the white house and even if I didn't like Romney, I would vote for him to keep Obama out.

Now, on the other hand, I will agree with you on one thing.... that he won't show his tax records. My simple reasoning is because it will show that he didn't pay taxes on his money and that bothers me. Did someone say it's against his religion to show his tax records or was that a joke? If his religion is going to come into play BEFORE he is elected, then I'm worried what else might be against his religion should we get into a war or terrorist situation.

Suddenly after not talking GNP growth for 3+ years.....guess who is talking economic growth? Barack Obama.

But even long time DEM are saying he has no case to make after the last 3 years. This 16 page report is from Carvelle's DemocracyCorp.

It basic advice?

Don't talk about economy to win in November. Shift the debate to something else. Anything else.

/DCorps_economy_FG1_report2-FINAL.pdf

Read the horror stories of 2008 DEM that supported the President as he led them into slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression.

Such as..."I am 53 and am getting $7.37 per hour. If I want a job, that is what I have to do."

"Right now I live with my family, I am unemployed."

"I have two kids one is 26 and one is High School, both live at home."

So ask the Obama/Biden team 'is the country is better than when they took over in 2008? They know the answer. They've surely read the Carville report.

But the answer coming from the DNC this week...will be "some have it better and some have it worse" ..."it is a confusing time and issue"..'we created 4m jobs' yada yada yada. They ignore the answers of their polling and others that say 70% of the country is worse off today.

They cannot admit the truth like a recent DEM governor did.
He said thing were worse. Then got raked over from Washington to reverse his position. Hmmmmm....Clinton's hourly White House phones calls come to mind, here!!

It is the Saul Alvinsky coming out. Say anything to stay in power.

They can brand Romney as a hard hearted business man, killing jobs while at Bain. But the truth is Bain was small potatos and in the 1990s. These two are the Administration of the FEDERAL government from 2008 to 2012 and have had vastly more impact on the countries economy than Romney. Bain was a 60b per year company. The Federal Government is a 1.2t government. You tell me who had a bigger impact on this economy and its non recovery?

I have said it in the past. You have to face the hard facts and
make the tough decisions to lead. Which is the very last thing that Obama/Biden want to do or can do.

With organized labor playing a big role in the Administration and in the DEM campaign. One would think the big labor would be unhappy with
with a 8.3% unemployment rate. Nope. Big labor is happy. They are stock holders in GM and Crystler under this administration and did not pay a dime for the stock. The American tax payer did. You and I paid for that little bit of share the wealth in 2009.

Now do you understand why big labor is not calling the Obama/Biden Team is the worse thing for American labor since Jimmy Carter. All those labor managers are looking to do now....is to manage their stock holding till a split or merger comes with GM or Cyrstler and then make a killing. It is the American way. The American labor dream.Own the keys to the factory. It is nice one American dream came true in the last three years.

So labor management will be out busting the union members to support the Obama/Biden team. You know the rhetoric....so no quotes are needed.

Obama supporters cannot answer the question 'if we are better off today than in 2008'....they dodge...they weave...they duck....but they cannot answer it straight.

I am sorry you lost ur job and because ot is difficult to find a new one but the situation is the same almost any where and seniros can not easily finding a new job and most seniors still active are those who got own business or because of being a part of the family of the busniess owner and so on... I do not think yo being unemployed is Obama,s fault... come on ! A law firm who have to downsize... why shall that be Obama,s fault? All economy have shrinked you see? Recession you know? Law firm not having clients enough or a because og profiting most by pressering lower number of emplouers making more money and getitng rid of the rest is that particular firm,s decision and the way that particular company runs that office!

A yeah... how can a man whose tax records are not aviable and have a lot money hidden in secret accounts, his fellows want to end medicare and medicade and unemployment benefits and cuting tax for the rich and taxing the middle class and the poor more EVER becoming a great president who is benefiting majorites of America?

Unemployment money of urs was off ...? Who is to blame? How many huge fights between Dems and GOP have have been there a bout this very matter?

GOP Block each and every time unemployment benefits got to get etxtended and that Mean ideology do not understand people need that money for having aroof on head and having money to eat even being unemployed! Obama,s Fault?

What would McCain do... other than if he won, not a thing could stop his bloody party taking a way more human rights from americans and removing more benefits from people who need the help because of being unemployed, removing more rights from America,s women, discriminating more a gainst LGBT and firing more teachers and fire fighters and police officers?? !

1) Fact avoidance (I am not taking 716b from Medicare)

2) Shift the blame (GWB)

3) Nonsense reply (well you know the GOP plan is to take us back to the 1950s and black and white TV)

What you don't seem to understand that.....unemployment benefits is not making jobs. It is bad thing to be on unemployment. It is a hard thing to be on unemployment.

Obama took the unemployment rate from 7% to 8.3%. He took the combined unemployment and underemployment rate to 15%. He has 15 of 100 out of work or nuderemployed.

That is not the REP fault. But the fault of the Obama/Biden administration. It is not all Obama's fault. It is shared with his cabinet, his SES, his policy makers and his advisers.

He said if he did not bring the unemployment under 8% it was one term administration. Why is that so hard to understand?

When Romney and Ryan come in....it is a entire new team. 500 new White House staffers. A new Cabinet. 3000-5000 new SES. New Advisors. New ideas. New problem solving. New opportunities. A new direction and a new prosperity for the country.

You mean Ryan's hometown GM plant. The plant closed in 2008 under the Bush administration. So what? In 2009, Obama gave GM 16b and they cannot open the plant that remains closed today? Obama visited the closed plant in Feb 2008 and said it was going to reopen ands beopne for 100 years. It did not. Case closed. Ryan did not lie. Obama did.

Here is exactly what Obama said at the Janesville GM plant in Feb 2008.

"I believe if our government is there to support you and to give you the assistance you need to re-tool and make this transition, that this plant will be here for another 100 years."

That is after his election and during the transition. h eknows that he is going to be President. He is going to become the head of that Government that soon give GM 16b. And it sure sounds like a promise to me.

ttom500: You mean Ryan's hometown GM plant.

Then ask that stupid gambler king of urs using some of his blood money reopening the plant, instead of using it undermining America,s security and prosperity ... the dang dude might be kind of forgiven then if usning his money on a good thing instead of keep feeding your bloody guys grin thumbs up

Hot_Single_Dude: Of course it is a bad thing and of course it doe snot creating jobs TT! What are you talking a bout any way ? Of course it is a bad thing specially for those who are unemployed and have to struggle in order of having food and shelter for them selves and their loved ones, buyt being unemployed and then being kicked in head by a group of Mean anti human rights Republicans is way worse than being unemployed!

Then it is simple. Who administration was in office during this vast unemployment in America? Who spent 800b on a economic stimulation that increased the unemployment rate bigger? When do we get to the end of the debate? LOL.........
