These seems to be a common complaint amongst us guys to which I would say, use this site (and others like it) as 'a way' to meet people as opposed to the 'only way'

you can choose to meet folks, make connections, discuss issues, learn some things, make some friends, express yourself, share some laughter, join a club, start a thread, pass the time...the possibilities are here to do many things...even find love.
or you can treat it like a fast food restaurant window and get disappointed.
it really is a choice.
i guess it's like a lot of things...like life, it's what you choose to make it.
