Of the burger places you have listed I voted for Sonic's. In reality it will NEVER come close to Johnny's Burger hamburger joint in Pomona, California. They're fries are great and they fix your burger with the fixings you want.
It comes wrapped looking delicious like a "picture". Not flat and full of terrible looking lettuce.
The fires are served in a tray with a generous portion and not in a small bag where the counter person asks you if you want to "supersize".
The drink cup comes empty so you can fill it with as much or as little ice as you want instead of a one-time filling of ice all the way to the top with a small amount of drink. And the refills are free and as many as you want. And one for the rode if you want!
This place is down the street, I hear they are pretty good, and plenty. WHen I was a kid there was a place called "Giant Burger" which later became "The Giant" and I don't know what became of the famous burgers.
Yep, In-&-Out Burgers are really good, another CA. franchise called Johnny Rockets is great too, and they make wonderful Milk Shakes to go with em.
ynotleon69: make travel plans. get yer hungry tummy to Santa Cruz California. ask any local there where to find "BettyBurger". BettyBurger uses the finest meat, and all organic toppings. even their ice cream is made local. its old school giant yummy burger with shoe string fries, and a thick shake...... yummmm!
A burger at Santa Cruz?: Really? Go to Aldo's at the Marina, eat sea food out on the deck ocean side, watching the Yachts come and go, delightful!
Yes, very great product now. It's been a few years since I've gone to Burger King and had only considered the restaurant as average, but a couple of days ago I stopped at their drive-thru and bought a Whopper, was very impressed and surprised.

The only Good burgers that I remember were the ones at Po' Boys down in New Orleans and the 'mini' hamburgers from some chain called Little Tavern Restaurants. The 'name-brand' types on the list really depend on the cookers and the patties. Burger King, in some locations for instance, burgers were a delight; nice and juicy; in other places/ towns, they were horrible; like died out leather soggy from old tomatoes, etc. The worst I ever had; twice in different places, were from a Hardee or Harvey's. I gave them back...I won't set foot in a Mac's for anything, even a napkin or to use the washroom...the smell is sickening. All the others, either I've never heard of them or have never seen them. Home made? Every truck stop between NYC and New Orleans was a delight for burgers and fried chicken! I miss places like that here. The best one in years, I found at a little diner in the middle of absolutely no where, near the Montana border...the cook had her diploma on the wall from the best chef school in France...go figure..Damn, now I'm actually hungry for one!
