I live one day at a time. I should probably be a little less care-free, but I feel tomorrow may never come.
Don't get me wrong, I am "prepared" for a rainy day as much as one possibly can be but I try to live it up, so to speak and enjoy life on a daily basis.

I always take time to smell the flowers.
sometimes for some people the idea is to grow the flowers.
lately I have been too much in the virtual world and not in the real world.....
Yes, a healthy balance is a requirement.
It's easy to get caught in the virtual world, isn't it? Look at it this way, at least you are not oblivious! I'm sure you are not allowing your virtual world to be top priority in your life, that's when you've got a real problem.
Sometimes self-servingly and sometimes passionately. Sometimes I live from wants and at other times I live from obligation.
If I'm to be solely concerned with my own happiness and loyalty to my own pleasure zone then I "live for today". When I get to thinking about the economy or the state of society and the kind of world my children will grow up in then I feel an obligation to be anxious - it's a mark of respect to the gravity of the situation. When the floods are coming you don't sit in the garden and put on KISS FM.

No, I don't. I prefer classic rock. I dont think the thought of your children's future is what makes you obnoxious, I think that's a cop out. You should simply admit you enjoy being cocky. It's no secret! No offense.

Live for the now, prepare for the future, and learn from the past. Also chocolate, croissants, and a scotch also.

a bit of both is always good.
well am in a big debt so on occasion it is normal to feel a little stress/confusion at times...but it can be all too amusing and I try now just to enjoy the moment and my surroundings...
yes we should always appreciate what we already have, although I have some bold plans in place

I voted live for the moment, this is only the case regarding people I chat with and would like to meet up in person, i'm not one to be chatting for weeks on end, I find it boring.
A little bit of planning is necessary though when you have children, as there is always something to plan for. Having said all that I hate routine and im the most unorganised person
That living in the moment is hard to follow through. tips welcome.

There is no past and there is no future, there is only ever the now. To be present and accept the now is to be at peace...you can never worry about the now.

Sorry to hear about your debt issue. I've been there and yes it can be stressful. I got to the point that I stopped stressing about it so much that I could only do the best I could to pay it off and I had to realise that "the bills will be here tomorrow" so no sense in flipping out kind of attitude.. Finally, I paid my dues with much diligence but didn't allow my stress to become so overbearing.

Yes, I'm sure having children requires much more planning on a daily basis and for future such as college but in the meantime enjoy the good times and take advantage of them.
As for being more organized, life will flow much easier. Use a daytimer or calendar to help. It makes a big difference. When going to the market, make a list first. If your children take their lunch to school, make their lunches the night before so you are less rushed in the morning. Do one or two loads of laundry a day instead of letting it pile up and become too overwhelming.
