SoonerGal: well, you know what...see that's the problem, people think everyone is "conditioned" into what they believe...grant you I'm sure the raising I got in that lil white church influenced some of my belief, however....I don't go to church...I read my bible and that's all I know, I'm too bull headed for someone to brainwash me, actually been known as a rebel...so with that being said must of been something more than what your implying?
We are all conditioned into beliefs at first. Especially where religion is concerned. But as we grow up we start to question things and throw out some beliefs and embrace others. And that's how we become adults.
But when things are largely accepted by those around us we tend to accept them without too much questioning. And that opens the door for mass deception.
If you look at the full range of what claims to be christianity, including catholics, baptists, mormons, Jehovah's Witness, Pentacostalists, quakers, Unitarians, etc etc etc I think you'll have to agree that there are plenty of cracks, allowing for false doctrines to enter in and take root.
In the interest of helping you clean out your mental cupboard, may I suggest a pamphlet that you can read online, entitled "Why I left Scofieldism". (note if you find the text too small just select it all and copy it to Word or Write and then adjust the print size.

"The Scofield Reference Bible" First of all I don't know what this is...I have my Grandmother's Bible which is the KJV by the World Publishing Company, I've heard about revised bibles and as a matter of fact, they are revising the Bible today as we speak...taking out so many things only to fit into today's society....replacing with things that people will accept and better suit their lifestyles, the publisher doing this is Wycliffe Bible...it's such a disgrace how things get altered just to satisfy a certain lifestyle

Yes, you hardly see the Scofield Reference Bible anymore. It's a big old Bible-Thumper's bible that has pretty much disappeared now. Nobody would want to be seen carrying one.
It was however a standard KJV bible like yours, but it had all sorts of footnotes and comments on both sides of the page, at the bottom of the page and in a column down the middle of each page. And the poison was in the footnotes, not the bible text itself.
You may have never heard of dispensationalism, or Scofield, but the doctrine you got at that little white church was certainly strongly influenced by it, that's clear from what you posted earlier.
I could fill page after page on the subject, but others have already done a better job of it than I can. I think you would find it well worth your time to investigate a little.
This video describes the most extreme form of dispensationalism, also called Christian Zionism. I don't agree with everything they say in the video, but it gives a basic idea of what sort of fanaticism it is.
This is the kind of insanity that dispensationalism leads to. Fanaticism replaces love as the basis. It's like they threw out the whole New Testament. These supposed Christians have become full-fledged pharisees.
nokundi: i never had probs travelling through muslim countries coz of religion. Especially in iran i was very welcomed. But over here (germany)the ppl. think that the ppl. in iran are all fanatics, fundamentalist crazy persons. Maybe the leaders are, but i cannot say the whole country. That picture of these crazy fanatic iranians is made by the medias. They are so strong into condition ppl.
Exactly, the media exists to control people's thoughts. It doesn't reflect the truth. It reinforces a desired delusion.

what did I say to make you think that? Also I have a question...some are saying I was conditioned....how is it they can say I was conditioned, what is their proof and they weren't under any kind of conditioning, just me? nonsense...
Glatlol: I just think it is an interesting fact and thought of it when you mentioned wanting to go to Israel, thats all.It was a "veil falling from the eyes" moment for her, having been a devote Catholic all her life she realised it was all a lie.
The woman finally admitted her doubt that had been there all along.
