Technically though, Egypt is an ally and as such is a cornerstone of Israel's security. It's bound by agreements and Paid a couple of billion every year by the American Tax Payer to remain so. I understand also that Egypt get paid some money from Israel directly to limit development in the Sinai... to maintain it as a sort of demilitarised/developed zone. Hey it ain't my money I don't care.

If America doesn't offer support to Israel, who will? Regardless of the near term out come, Israel will continue to be a nation, but there will come a time, not in our life time, but a time when Israel will be surrounded by all of the nations of the world to destroy Israel, then Jesus will return and save Israel.

No I agree we are not very well informed here, told what they want us to know and no more...but in reality there is extremist in every facet of life...just seems to be more in the religion realm...there's one here centrally located and I can't for the life of me remember their name...
