tiredofwebsites: Why would anyone on a dating site stay on it for life?
Actually it is more than just a dating site. It is a place where people can connect. There are many areas on here like the game area. The poetry section. Or I like the photo comp thread. I am lousy at taking pictures yet I enjoy it laugh I really have learned to not say never. I did not think I would be here as long as I have. dunno

HAPPY: Although many activites and distractions exist on this site, do you think---especially in light of the results of the poll---that the majority of singles on this site just want to "talk" to people and play games on this site for the rest of their life?

I've been here for some years now and I truly hope I'll not be here for ever. laugh
I joined CS for the same reason as most other people. I discovered the puzzles later and now it's really hard to leave CS.
I didn't sign up to do puzzles.wink
I gave up the dating thing on CS long time ago. As long as I find it relaxing to do puzzles, I'll be hanging around a little bit more. Of course, the forums are not too bad either (as long as people are being nice to each otherlaugh)!thumbs up

I think that's a great attitude pedro thumbs up

Would imagine most of us joined up here for the dating potential but in light of the fact that many have had no luck, why not use it as a communication tool to interact with people in far-flung places dunno

I've had fantastic experiences with people from overseas who otherwise I would not have known existed and have learned so much at the same time.

The forums aren't always riveting or a barrel of laughs, no, but you get that dunno and after all, it is a free site and the laughs and enjoyment I've had on here and the opportunity to meet the people I have at meets sure beats sitting at home alone any time.

I'll most likely stick around here until I meet someone who helps me fill those lonely hours, until then why not hang out with my mates cheers

It's just like belonging to any club, or popping into your local pub and having the craic. With slightly more possibility of meeting your significant other as it isn't called a dating site for nothing, even tho there are other pleasures to be found.
