to answer your original question I prefer Bean any day, and I like the dry quick wit of people like Lee Mack, and duo's like Morecambe & Wise, the 2 Ronnies, Kauri & Tru......that quick repartee is what I like......

They are Two different types of comedy and I can't really compare the two.
I can list many great British comedy's, but I could still not compare them and decide which one's best because they are all funny in different ways.
Only fools & horses, Blackadder, Some mothers do av em, Rising Damp, porridge, One foot in the grave, The office, Men behaving badly, Opened all hours and list goes on....
