JeanKimberley: when I first got my smart phone, I was coming out of the theatre reading a text and WHAM! I went crotch first into a metal gate. That left a bruise for weeks - sadly, no one special in my life to ask me about it.
So it is true I can't walk and chew gum (and text) at the same time.

Not atall, atall............I look at my grandson, whoz on his phone all the time, but he still chats, has fun, plays football, communicates......chats more than me actually. And that's what I see around me when I look at the kids......they can multi-task. They're quite aware of what's going on around them. They still know how to go out and have fun....but want to keep their acquaintances informed of what they're up to. Or play games with those who are interested in the games they wanna play.
Personally......I love my smartphone, but it never takes the place of eye to eye contact with my friends. Fortunately, over the years, I've made a lot of them and technology helps me to keep in touch with some of them.
Alexandro10: Then watch the pole in front of you , if there is any in India.
Sorry mate.

you will get your answer
That's better.
I know exactly where you coming from, from your pic I'm guessing you only have max 20/ 25 years old and its undestandeble you been grew up between gatchets, computers and internet, but I'm a 47 years old that likes now and again to colors his hair. So where I coming from its a little more different then your perspective of view, but I still use internet and I find it vey much usefull.

Yes they are very useful and people get addicted to them. I was very much in computers and new technology even thought I learned hacking in my time When these things were new but I use simple Mobile where young people use look at their I phones all the time. I did everything but now I believe in real world.
Ccincy: Nothing seems personalized anymore.I think all this technology has made people lazy.
Ohh not me CC. when I was younger I littrely walked on walls. Put asfalt on roads ( very hard job ) 3 times a week football training, and Sunday football match with out any gatchets wats so ever. There was only one gatchet, trainer on the middle of the pitch.
Even now when I get to do some footing I never use health gatchets. If I'm fit I'm fit. I don't need a program to tell me I'm fit.
galrads: Took me back to the '60s, when we fired up a skyward searchlight to let Batman and Robin know that we were in deep trouble, again. Hey, Alexandro. Interesting poll.......

Mark Zuckerberg said it best. " Our users are dumb heffers". That's what the co-founder of Facebook thinks of you if you are stupid enough to help American Intelligence agencies collect data on you.
In short, you are an idiot if you do not act on mr Zuckerberg's opinion!
Interpersonal and communication skills amongst people are deteriorating as well as they become more reliant on devices to communicate for them, thats not to mention practical life skills that (heaven forbid) should the batteries all run flat and the power goes out and there is no google or app to tell you what to do next, will leave alot of people in a very helpless situation indeed.
I agree. People in my age range can really note the difference in young people as were alive before computers and smart phones. But properly done the devices are quite useful, and one can still learn to communicate face to face and enjoy it. It is a matter of understanding that there is a proper time and place for everything and having parents that teach that to their children.
Enjoy your computers & devices but understand they are simply tools. At work and church, or on a date, they really have no place. People have got on for ages without them attached to our arms. There is a whole culture of unintended rudeness that surrounds mobile devices...another subject really but just as important.

I on the other hand say they are a perfect place at work, church and on a date. It is not so rude as much as it is the need to develop new rules of how to behave with each other when operating technology in public......

right. I think you maybe have a point in some cases. But your comment also demonstrates that people have lost touch with what rudeness is and why sometimes their use of devices is indeed rude.
Devices and phones should be TOTALLY SILENT in those circumstances and phone calls be out of earshot of others (no one wants to hear your stuff). Otherwise it is quite rude indeed. If you are bothering / interrupting someone else and it is not an emergency, it's rude.
We don;t always know what others are doing...trying to concentrate or communicate, maybe. So it's best to err on the side of caution
I don't believe I stated that one should not have them. But there is no excuse for trying your neighbor's or your date's patience.

so true, so true.
I do like to listen in on other peeps conversations on their mobiles and also our community is so over populated that it is extremely normal for me to not be bothered by cell phones and people talking and texting.
Lately, tho, I enjoy all the people using technology in public It's like listening to children laugh and play..... music to the ears, sounds to sooth the soul.

lol, in public is another thing...I was referring mostly to the work environment or on a date
I've been known to surf my tablet at Starbucks myself, however, I refrain from audibles in most cases..unless I am certain I am out of range to bother someone
I am totally in love with technology. But I think the OP has a good point, and there is a need for the awareness message in his video I think
Voila' the video that's going around the world, everybody should see this. Is technology killing us or we can eventually stop it from happening?
Wonderful video !! Took me right back to the 80's where there were none of this!

Yeah truheart, I agree about friends and family's. I do it all the time. All my friends are in Italy and my family's are around the world. The only way at the moment I can get in touch with them is via internet.
But I didn't understand the second part of your story, about the Christmas ayday. Is that an Irish slang or an English slang. Sorry man ,my English is an southern english ( London ), I try to not have any slangs or what so ever. Eventhought I lived 8 years in Huddersfield I didnt like there slang. But if is that what I think, right now my mum is on the tele. I don't watch tv. Very very rare.
