Well, I can't comment on the accent, of course, as I am exposed to it on a daily basis, but Englishmen were renown for chivalry and gallantry.....

That's not to say there isn't exceptions to the rule, of course.

I dont know about english men,but I know about one english man. He is an awesome man ( sometimes I say to myself he is not english ) and an awesome husband to my auntie ( She is iranien ). Backgrounds are diffrent, cultures are diffrent. I have english cousins 1 st degree and they are all north of england, never had a problam with them .They drink a lot, but hey that's me. I dont drink
