I would say mine were right about 6 or 7 of them. Especially not believing everyone or everything.
And the "world is going to hell" ... "in a hand basket", they'd say; usually in reference to moral decline and a breakdown of our legal system and Western civilization.

Besides trust no one they used to push for discipline and responsibility so my parens never spare the rod and definitely didn't spoil us siblings. They were also right about stressing going outside and playing and always using protection.
