I used to write human interest threads when we had members who were open to writing an opinion to encourage conversation. In today's world we have members who just want to be negative in everything they say towards each other. Waste of time to even sign on sometimes.
You got that right ... Particularly those who seem to have the forums as their main social interaction in life... some have the " my way or the highway" or "my way is right and yours is , well ..."...and even more striking... socializing here with bitterness in their bones tainted with a good dose of aggression... to say nothing of a huge chip on the shoulder .... I often wonder ... or at least every now and then I do wonder ... what my presence in the forums is about ... what is the point? 
rohaan: I hear that— I’d like to believe that my contributions aren’t wasted entirely- a little whimsy, a few helpful pointers now and then, sage, thoughtful rhetoric and responses…and hopefully learn something or at least hear multiple views. The one thing I don’t want to be any part of is negativity or hateful personalities. For the lion’s share, my participation is good ( for me…) and we’ll worth it.

No point whatsoever. If they want to "gun" for you, they will. Now matter what you say. I just sit back, watch this video over and over and thank myself lucky to be an Islander 
Nah! In all honesty, I love watching all Airforces Perform... Spain is a very quiet Country. they don't get involved, thank goodness. Love and miss Spain so much
