I don't have a role here now but if there is a thread about a newsworthy story and I know something about it that is a fact I will post my opinion but only if I'm sure what I'm talking about.

I used to write human interest threads when we had members who were open to writing an opinion to encourage conversation. In today's world we have members who just want to be negative in everything they say towards each other. Waste of time to even sign on sometimes.

I hear that— I’d like to believe that my contributions aren’t wasted entirely- laugh a little whimsy, a few helpful pointers now and then, sage, thoughtful rhetoric and responses…and hopefully learn something or at least hear multiple views. The one thing I don’t want to be any part of is negativity or hateful personalities. For the lion’s share, my participation is good ( for me…) and we’ll worth it.
