Imagine a couple starts e-mailing here at CS. the conversation develops nicely and they decide to make a first phone call. She calls him at 11 p.m., they get talking.. and talking .. and talking.. and talking.. about anything at all, they laugh, they share sad stories, they exchange their inner beliefs and little anecdotes of their lives - and before you know it its 7 a.m. and daylight outside before they finally say good bye!!

What do you make of that? If it happened to a friend of yours, what would you think? How would you react?

If one of your friends wants to spend 8 hours on the phone with someone, why do you need to make any comment. Why is that any of your business? Or, are you jealous over what she/he is doing.

Talking on the phone is sometimes easier than in person... as it allows individuals the opportunity to really listen to the owrds that the other is saying....

Without the distraction of worrying about possible chemistry etc... and all which that entails....

My longest phone conversation was for a bout 4 hours when I was a teenager and I was making my first phone calls lol

what do I make out of it?

it's just a phone call....and two people talking and getting to know each other...

what counts is if the phone calls are consistant...not so much in talking for 8 freaking hours...but if there is MORE??? to talk about afterwards...

I take it with a grain of salt and just look at it as some great conversation and a step in a friendship...

gotta be pals before you take it further...

I guess only the two talking would know what it means to talk so long on the phone to each other. Surely they enjoyed the conversation and kept each other involved with subjects that allowed the two to want to continue.

For me it would simply mean I was able to talk and to listen with someone that I found interesting.

Its a wonderful experience and definitely hides a message of love.
When reality sets in tho, it can be cruel and disappointing.
I experienced it myself and I wouldn't mind to try it again.
