Oh come on. My son's a nice guy and also very picky. He won't just take any girl that he could have. So technically he could say: I'm a nice guy and I'm not getting the girl... but the reality is that sometimes he doesn't get the super-hot one that he wants.

Erm, with all due respect, this is NOT true. If these are they kind of girls you have found then, I am sorry for you, you have been looking in the wrong places.
What about the quiet girl that knows the answers to the Questions in class, b/c she studies, while all you "Nice" guys are out dating the ones that break you hearts.
She is the one you never give another glance to, even when she has let you know she is interested, you embarrassedly looked over your shoulder to see if anyone else saw and rush her off.
How do I know? I was one of them and still am a nice girl.

well..i don't think you need to be either a nice guy or a bad guy to get a woman. You just need to be a GUY/MAN for that matter. Besides, women are not something to be "gotten" like some commodities. They occupy half of this world and therefore, they must be treated as equal partner for the betterment of this world.

I'm a fairly nice guy... and I even give flowers and presents to some (boy did those sure backfire), but I can't get a girl whether she is 'Good' or 'Bad' as far as it goes. So somebody deduce that - This is one nice guy that ain't finishing at all!

In response to jaynimble and rillyniceguy, although you may right in some instances, I would like to point out some important issues with regard to the whole spectrum of men GETTING women.
1.you really want to GET a woman? you just go and tell her that you like her and u want to marry her. But i think any man ever does that simply because he thinks that he can "enjoy" her whenever and however he desires.
2.these days, women are also under a lot of pressure and therefore they don't really have the time or energy to entertain men as much as they would like to. And guess what, it is the fault of men also.
3. women are like flowers no matter how tough they look or sound in their exterior. if you want to enjoy that flower, you need to nurture them instead of putting condition on them.

The problem with women and nice guys is this. Very few nice women. They no longer have the natural affection and love they once had. This is due to being used by the bad boys that excited them as women got the chance. When In high school, girls had no damn sense about life and were immature. I expected it to be different in the adult world.....but they are the same. There are some loving, caring, sweet women around but are hard to find. I look at the spirit, not the body. There are women who demand to be Goddess and rule all....and there are those subdued who are wanting a White Knight to solve all her problems. Both love themselves......I am looking for a woman to love me and to be loved by me. They have lost their natural affection because of things and self. To find a pretty woman who is of a natural affection is rare....very rare! About like finding a diamond in a rock pile.
