Would you date someone much younger? (70)
I voted "I'd never date anyone younger" for the simple fact I am looking for a mature relationship and from personal experience, find that younger women aren't ready for them. Also, I find older women more stimulating to talk too, with younger women, I may as well talk to myself. Also it seems in general (again from personal experience), there seems to be a tighter emotional bond that you can get from an older women.
HOWEVER, if someone younger came along that intrigued me, I'm sure that I would be open to it.

I'm trying to think if I've ever dated anyone older than me...
....nope, I don't tink so...
the youngest woman I dated was 20 years younger...but we got along fine, I can't remember the maturity issue ever really playing a role.
I'm not sure I would want a partner more than 12 or so years younger...the idea of me being 75, and her being 58 kinda freaks me out...
But I've had platonic friends who were 30 years younger..

I have dated when 36 a man 8 yrs. younger,disaster and it was our age diffrence.My fiance of 11 great yrs. started at me 23,he 18.He was always more mature than me,never a notice in our ages.
I did about 2 yrs. ago go out with a 37 yr old. He I found after 2nd date had 1 thing in mind,and I didn't.I suprised myself that I went out with him,if my son were still here,he would have then been 33. It was 1 of those "it's been boring latley,need to have some fun" things I do every now and then in life.
For a serious life long relationship,can't say for sure but most likely no more than 7 yrs. younger.

I see that you've posted another thread about younger vs older.
You need to stop agonizing over this and go with your heart.
If you get along so well with this man that you've known for 5 years and you have a spark going, and he tells you how he feels about you, then why not? Don't worry about what others think. You two are the ones that have to live your lives, not them. If you become a couple and find out that it isn't working, what is lost? At least you won't always be wondering if you missed out on something that could make you both happy.

I have two ex-husbands that are younger than me, one by two years, the other by five years. I prefer a man older than me, but would still date a man up to five years younger than me. Any younger than that, and we don't have enough in common. I need someone who is fairly evolved and grounded. Someone on the same level as I am, and that's difficult to find in a younger man.

I totally agree with you. If two people are respecting each other and are equal then age is not an issue.

I have dated someone much younger....and the age didn't seem to play much of a role...
It was more personality issues that were a problem...but that's the same in any relationship, irrespective of age...
