wyowilly: Hey chick, thanks for helping keep the deer population in check in the buckeye state!! You and other hunters are truly blessed with with a functional heart and mind. (somefolks ya just can't rationalize with on this site)
Let's argue about which tastes better..... Whitetail or Mule Deer meat??? It's all for Mule Deer on this end. (this might keep you know who from butt'n in)
I don't bother to rationlize with anyone that's way to big of job.
integrity82: Do you like hunting? A lot of people do. My uncles used to hunt. Dad too when was young. But we go hunting and you give me a gun will I shoot into an animal? I don't know!!!
Not for fun, for food. Poll set up to be biased. Yes, used to hunt all the time. Don't any more but sure as he..double toothpick won't turn down a good moose, elk or deer roast!!! Yummy!!!!!!
seekndestroy: thats cos i get confused easily.....everytime i bite down.... i lose focus and cant remember if i should put more effort on biting or growling ....thus i end up doing both... but neither to its full effect !!!!!!
plust the dentures keep falling off !!!!!
Maybe you need that denture stuff that they advertise on tv.
seekndestroy: dont know that i can.... im just so distraught !!!!!i think i need a hug or something ......... oh i know.... 3 seconds .... that's all i need... 3 seconds and i'll be all good !!!
any voluteers?????i'll make it 6 if i get two volunteers !!!!!!
seekndestroy: not exactly what i had in mind but......
Although I am a firm beliver in hunting and the right to bear arms.. Now a days.. (at least BEFORE HealthyLiving).. the ONLY "hunting" I do.. is for DEAR and BARE... ---SoldierByte---

yeah... well good for ya.....
i on the other hand am still on the prowl and due to previous and ongoing circumstances i dont see my hunting days to end any time soon.... it would take one hell of a prize trophy to make me consider the option of putting my orange vest away and retire from the hunt !!!!!

I readily understand mr. seekndestroy, Realizing you are "still on the prowl".. I can only say that in the "CS jungle" here.. the bounty seems quite plentiful... I am sure your "limit" will only be governed by your desires... I wish you happiness and sucess.. Happy Hunting.. ---SoldierByte---
somechick: I don't bother to rationlize with anyone that's way to big of job. I choose Whitetail myself.
Muley's better chick, they don't taste like an acorn
Nah, not really. My nephews (Buckeyes) brought out some Whitetail a few years back. They actually liked the Muley better than their Whitetail. I'm think'n it was who cooked the meat more than anything!!

In response to: I never have and never will hunt just for sport. But I have hunted for food and I see nothing wrong with that, although others may feel differently, it's understandable.
Me thinks that "hunting for food" should have been another option in the poll, as both of the current ones are practically the same, only worded slightly differently.

My parents and older brother only hunted for whitetail in the upper parts of Michigan and is where I'm originally from as far as I know.
It's true it does sometimes make a difference on how/who cooked the meat.
I like making chili from scratch and putting it in a cast iron dutch oven placed on an open fire. There's also nothing like venison steaks/burgers cooked over an open fire as well.
I don't hunt because I just don't have the time. I'm happier "stalking"- watching the animals in their natural habitat. I'll never dismiss someone else's right and happiness in hunting, however as conservation is needed. I do have a sign on the front gate that says, "Hunters Welcome. Check In At The House". The hunters have to check in with either myself, the ranch foreman, or my housemate. Then at the end of the day, they have to show us what they bagged. This way a record can be kept and the wildlife is replenished as necessary (not cheap to do, btw). I ask the hunter to say a blessing over what they bagged, thanking it for its' sacrifice and may it feed many people. It seems like good karma and re-establishes balance back to the land. It's great to see new wildlife taking its first steps each spring as life renews itself.
My dad and grandfather hunted on occassion and mom and grandma would marinate the meat in apple cider. It turned out wonderful. It was a welcome respite from the usual beef, chicken and pork.

Nettermann: would a hunter also be able to kill a human being without having regrets if laws didnt exist, i mean he is killing an animal too without a problem or?
Some people are conceptually easier to kill than others!
Iam a hunter , I don't shoot just for fun , but for food . I don't use animals ( dogs ) to hunt with , don't shoot over baited grounds or food plots . I stalk hunt to be more on my games level ! so whats wrong about my hunting ?

Personally, I see ABSOLUTLY NO problem in either.. were it in my beliefs, morals, and need to survive.. I guess that is why "some" humans survive and prosper.. while others exist and serve.. If I had the answers.. or could judge.. I'd not be here.. ---SoldierByte---

SummerUK: A lot of us see your point Netterman but I personally question your assumption of what we need to do to stay alive nowadays.... Have you witnessed inner city deprivation first hand, have you ever had to feed a family for a month on less than most of us would spend on one night out
