I was just laughing at the way you wholeheartedly described what I think is correct for a man to be able to show that they can do... whether they get a chance to show it or not is a different story. But I wanted to express a Yes... I think its instinctual or should be instinctual for a man to show that he can hunt... should the need arise.

I like to hunt but I only hunt for food not for sport.My parents and brothers used to hunt and it was mainly for food as well.I've heard Venison is better for you than meat I'd buy in the store.I've got 3 deer so far this season and plan on donating one of them to a homeless shelter.

I couldn't answer your question, btw, since you only gave two options. I don't hunt, but I could if I had to in order to put food on my table. But I understand why others do, and I also know that around here it's regulated well and necessary or more of the animals allowed to be hunted would starve due to loss of habitat and scarcity of food. At least I know that those who hunt around here also eat what they kill...nothing goes to waste. What I don't approve of is trophy hunting...that's a waste of life and is cruel.

Wrong! killed, cleaned, and cooked myself: deer, turkey, wild boar, & fish. Granted a few times I had to have help-boars are big round here.
I know a few huntin camps they all do their own cleaning
my whole family will kill and clean their own food if they needed to. I don't buy organic and I live off meat which I enjoy--thinking of a nice piece of cow right now actually medium rare-bloody mmmmmmmmm
we don't have to agree but we don't have to get nasty either-so I will say "Bless your heart" and leave with my own southern graces
and Gator season around here IS absolutely necessary and when the population is down to a certain number we have laws that say you can't kill them

to be honest im not sure that i even know what the hell you mean by "isolating" myself from society....
if you mean if im afraid to go live in the woods with no other human being anywhere near..... well hell you just described heaven... unfortunately im stuck in this hell so i cant do it at the moment....

Hunting is for food. As a matter of fact, deer is very abundant in the wild. You can get a lot of meat for a while, you can make meatloaf or meatballs from the burger meat, stew meat, steaks and sausage from everything else. I think the animal suffers more when it gets hit by a car than from an accurate gun shot.

I agree that mankind is a destructive force on this earth and that there are many environmental issues that should be dealt with... but what does that have to do with the topic of being a hunter, a meat eater or a vegetarian?
I´m sure that you use electricity and probably drive a car or use public transportation...(even if you ride a bike the rubber from your tires is dangerous to the environment) you live in a home that has displaced animals... we all take from the environment and it should be done in a more responsible manner but the fact that you are a vegetarian does not make you any less damaging to the world we live in.

Hey chick, thanks for helping keep the deer population in check in the buckeye state!! You and other hunters are truly blessed with with a functional heart and mind. (somefolks ya just can't rationalize with on this site)

thats cos i get confused easily.....
everytime i bite down.... i lose focus and cant remember if i should put more effort on biting or growling ....thus i end up doing both... but neither to its full effect !!!!!!

We are a part of nature and the cycle of nature... by creating our homes and cities natural predators have been killed off, if not for hunters deer would become extinct due to the destruction of their environment. Dogs can get by on a vegetarian diet but it´s not what they are by nature... they are carnivores. Do you get upset when a lion kills for food? Man has incicors... hence we are by nature carnivores. I hate cruelty to animals and despise the "feed lot" system of raising beef and the systems in place for "growing" chickens and producing eggs. I was raised on a farm where we produced our own food with free range cattle and chickens and have no problem eating what we raised and still try to purchase products when ever possible that are organic and free range... but I am a meat eater and do not apologize for being so.
