For a social worker you appear to have very little patience for those who differ from your point of view. I am surprised by some of your posts here and elsewhere given your line of work.
I´ve made my stance clear on this matter way back on this thread, and it did not offend meat eaters, vegetarians or the hunting fraternity as far as I´m aware.
LadyPhoenix1965: You're prejudice against people who hunt and people who raise animals for food, and anyone who eats the product of those activities.
Nettermann: so why are people so fat then especially in America where the consumption of meat is very high??? And even if people in the past were hunting doesnt mean they were eating as much meat as we eat nowadays
Well, for starters... nowadays, many people are getting used to being catered to--some due to technical advancements. Hence; Remote controls, Microwave ovens, automated industries, video games...etc.
Then there are those whom are labeled "Socialists" but it's the extremists within that label expecting and sometimes demanding a share of what the working class makes. Ya know, free hand-outs without putting forth effort.
* Improper health education. * Over eating (meats AND vegetables) * Lack of desire or will to exercise. *Chemicals added to food sources; vegetables, snacks/junk foods, meats, drinks...etc, that are very harmful to a human's natural metabolism. Those and other factors all add up to reasons behind the hefty Hoi Polli.
And again, if you were to check with history, you'll find that hunters had eaten meat regularly, due to limited resources of preservatives, such as freezing the food and harmful additives (salt was and still is the primary preservative.) So obviously, what was killed had to be consumed before exceeding the natural experation date. Todays advancements may extend the expiration dates, but also comes with unwarranted side effects.
rebelluvr: for what you said about me and my people ! do you know anything about NATIVE AMERICANS or as some say AMERICAN INDIAN we have always revered MOTHER EARTH ! were the true naturist!
what the f... are you talking about? I have never offended your people? Are you paranoid or what?

I'm sorry you feel that way, Jan. Ironically, I personally can't stomach the idea of hunting. My strong opinions are really just because I see so many posts that attack people instead of issues. But you're right, I've gotten sucked into that part of the 'game' too in the last few posts. I apologize.
Thank you for confronting me on this with tact. Very classy.
Nettermann: so just because any law doesnt forbid you to kill animals gives you the right to do it, sorry but just wondering what would happen if the law allowed you to kill people...
Now that you mention it... What a wonderful idea!
If everyone were granted the right to kill one (1) other individual <human being> during their lifetime without fear of retribution, wouldn't the world be a much friendlier place?
I mean, it seems as though folks would be much more polite to each other because no one would know for sure if the person they're about to insult had already used up his/her "get out of jail free" card. And even if they had, then there's a chance that a friend or family member of the 'insultee' had not and might decide to use it on their behalf.
Seems to me that even those who spout unintelligible diatribes like several certain someones we all know, would be forced to remain polite.
Of course I realize that there would still be those amongst us who simply wouldn't give a damn, but I rather think that would be the excpetion more than the rule.

Look, I have respect for animals but nowhere, at any given time of day will I EVER consider any animal a human such as you have been doing here. Now, if you really want to make an impact on saving the animals... FIRST, consider saving humans! If you can stop humans from killing themselves, then I'll bet my last cheeseburger that killing animals will be stopped shortly afterward.
Netter, you're really starting to sound like a Nutter!

Nettermann: who says that i wouldnt also try to save humans???
Hmmm... Well, that certainly seems to be your stance, given that you've shown so much more respect towards animals than you have towards humans who don't share your opinions. ...Or would you only try to save certain humans?
Oh my....!!!!!! Is that a "confused" bug...?? Hunting for 'his" food..???
Has someone's mouth finally over-ridden their abilities..?/ Only time will tell.. In the mean time.. Guess "some".. have more then a "number"... Sorry to interrupt... ---SoldierByte---
