papperstuss: The question everyone asks themselves at least once or twice in their life. :p
And at least 24005987 times on CS.
You know, the last 24005987 times I answered: "Of course not." But this question has finally worn me down (or perhaps driven me temporarily insane?), so this time I'm going to say: "Yes, damn it, it is indeed possible to fall in love with someone upon first sight (but it has to be at least a clear, solid sight, not a mere glimpse, damn it!)!"

Well, I would like to answer "Yes", but I think it really only happens in the movies
I completely and utterly believe it can happen... if you tweak it slightly.
Love is an emotion... you cannot LOVE someone simply by looking at them. Lust at first sight yes.
However, I do believe it is very easy to fall in love with someone extremely quickly. Sometimes, after even only brief communication with someone, you can learn a great deal, and if what you see and hear completely appeals to you, then yes, you can feel you love them.
Whether or not this is love in the truest sense is debatable, but I know from my own experiences that it can happen.
My ex completely bowled me over withn days, and I continued to feel that way about her for the next 4 years until we split. Even after she decided to end it, it took me 8 months to get away from the love I felt for her.

Never once did I question those initial feelings.
Well, very quickly isn't instantly. I don't think anyone can establish any absolute time period for falling love. I'm pretty sure you need to know the person fairly well - otherwise it can't be true that you're falling in love with them (you'd be falling in love with an idea of them).

Yes it dose happen..... it lasted 4 years for me but was instant in the second we saw each other......but unfortunatley that sort of instant attraction dosent mean that it will last a lifetime... I mean I thought it definately did at the time and I thought THIS IS THE ONE.....but nah

No I think we should ask Ambrose just one more time to make sure
Yes, I think or at second sight--you see someones profile again and you think OMG that guy or girl is hot, and you go for it, talk to them, what have you got to lose, and your have everything to gain...I'll take a risk..
