May i suggest you change the current photo by posting one of the most handsome photos you have in to website, you will receive back more than one reply when sending one flower or will receive the flowers from woman without having to send any flower 
brucerryork: i have sent out over 5 pages of flowers and gifts and just a simple greeting nothing weird or creepy to many many women. probably over 50 women if i have over 5 pages. i have gotten only 1 thank you in response. so it makes me wonder what the women on here are really like. and it also makes me wonder if it is something about me. i know i am not a knockout as far as looks go but i would like to think that i am about middle of the pack. i dont want to keep sending out messages and just wasting my time. 1 response outta over 50 thats like a 2% rate for even just a thank you in response. so i am wondering if i should stay or go ?

relax. Edison had over 200 failures before he made one light bulb that worked. It isn't magic, there. So, keep your nose to the grindstone. 
Ok to begin with I'm hurting from watching you bang your head lol. I've learned to lighten up on here and not worry so much. You do have to watch for the last time they've been on here. There are a lot of profiles of people that haven't been getting on anymore. In my experience, I've had more luck with emails than just sending flowers and gifts. Remember its all about quality... not quantity. I agree with the others about your pic, it is ok, but people would be more attracted to a smile! Have fun and good luck!!! Don't give up!

Your expectation is attacking you. (Expectation that bases on the imagination that online society should make thing easier than real life.) It was true that normally people get to know, become friends, chat, and finally agree to meet, easier, when they start the introduction online. I notice that this was true several years ago when online dating websites were not all over on the internet like flies or gravels, like these days.
These days, people are more careful. Internet lives become similar to real society. So, please compare it to your real life. In real life, do you easily break the ice with people? Do you start the relationship easily? How much chance you smile to strangers that you can get some nice smiles back?
My suggestion, to give it more time, but do consider decorating your profile with something more fun. Put smiley photos (if that at least represents 50% of the real of you)…. Good luck!!
