Veritaas: Definately no, I prefer the bread toasted, with or without a drizzle of olive oil, then just rub the garlic over the bread. Though a couple of slices of tomatoes (Jac's ones preferably) placed on top sometimes.

Garlic bread I make homemade with crushed fresh garlic cloves, olive oil and some fresh herbs. Sometimes I'll pair it with goat cheese, pesto (my favorite) and some tomato/black olive chutney..divine! wine

I agree. I love cheese, but all garlic bread needs is a little olive oil and a sprinkling of herbs.
