curiousgeorge2: are you just fed up with the some old Politics ? They ALL lie to you to get elected then they do whatever they WANT to do.
I don't trust any of our politicans of either party. They all lie, cheat and steal. It's all about power and greed. They're the real ciminals who should be put behind bars.
The Obama Presidency is failing. He is far to the left, whereas most Americans are right of center. You can see from Obama that he is struggling by compromising on the Bush tax cuts and caving in to the centrist position.

The threads are flooded with Obama this and Obama that... here on the International Forums is the only place I see anything about him though, so I only get the overload effect when I log on here.
It's almost as if the American members enjoy having their President bashed by an international crowd.

I am more interested to hear about Obama these days than I am to hear about Australian politics. We had a hung parliament from a recent election and most are exhausted by Australian politics atm. This will probably annoy many US posters, but I really like Obama and what he stood for. I can see that now, he's tried to do things that many Americans don't support. That's the way it goes; I doubt he'll get another term. Mainly, I've wondered whether he still would have won if voting in the US were compulsory.

IMO, he is failing because he didn't keep his promises to the People, only to the ones that spent LOTS of money GETTING him where he is now.

Only Republicans and people who can't stand the idea of a president who is even 50% african bash him. I have seen very little bashing of Obama coming from outside the US.
It seems respect for the president is a thing of the past, killed by some of the idiots, crooks, and incompetants we've elected in the recent past.

I am not form the US , so I shoudl not say much about Politics there. Anyway, the guy makes me puke. He is the image of a selfish, indolent, plastic imbecile, talking and talking crap that, he thinks, sounds as the winds of change....
Other politicians are the same but this one has certain particular nasty style.. I am sick of reading his name here, but everybody is free to write about whatever they want...
