felixis99: Oh! Christmas1!! Funny you should mention it. One of my biggest regrets, honestly honestly, is that I didn't get to Quebec City when I was in Montreal. So silly of me! But I was much younger at the time and thought there would be infinite time for everything

lifeisadream: cold is so relative! I would love Canada.
Relative to what? Seriously what gives the people the idea that Canada is a barren ice land? I don't live in the Arctic. I think too many people generalize

I did live 3 yr in Maine USA, very close to Canada and I did LOVE IT!!! also I have been to the artic circle, cold weather is not a problem for me, In fact nothing about weather is a problem for me.
Funny , you mentioned that about Australia and you 're also Australian--because I have been thinking the same about Australia. I was going to move to Australia and finally at the last hour, backed out. I had been following the news for months and Australia is not going well, and we 're not talking about the 'economic' situation or political , but political might have something to do with it on different levels...well, females, to live in Australia are not so safe.......one just has to read the news.... .That's a pity, though.
annie_nsw: Ya'll probabley come in a close second if not tie to Australia.. although lately I am not happy with how Australia is going. If I could live in BC I would give serious consideration to your 4th option ..lol
kidatheart: No, it's actually a loon, rather fitting too. Mossies only had a crew of 2, Beavers hold 6, which is our national critter, although a little furrier than the de Havilland version.
Yeah Loon ....Loonie, Twoonie lol..what have we done to our money. Actually it is rather cute.

Oh I love loons - they sound so eerie on a foggy lake - it is like a baby's cry, and I saw them "dancing" - one of my most awesome memories. I saw loons dancing at White Water Indiana ~ spectacular!
kidatheart: Well, the only thing that bothers me is ending up with $30 worth of change in my pocket and the weight trying to pull my jeans down.
At least we won't have to worry about the penny for much longer, looks like it's going by way of the Dodo bird. Pssst, don't tell them about the giant weather curtain across the 49th.
Yeah, the 49th parallel....hahahahha...if they would only look on a map they would be surprised how far south we are.
Oddly enough I was talking to someone about Canada recently. You'd be hard pushed to find someone who had something bad to say about Canada and Canadians and from what I see on here, Canadians seem to be polite and courteous! I know you have a good health/social care system without the fear of communism and are not in favour of war or any other form of state sanctioned killing. Nor do you seem to be a selfish nation/people impopsing your will on other countries. You seem content to have enough!
