reneldo: You obviously don't understand what Christians believe. God is not Jewish. No part of the Bible says this. The Bible teaches that God existed before he even created the Jews or the whole world for that matter. (Psalm 90:2; Genesis 1:1) God is a spirit. (John 4:24) His incarnation in the flesh doesn't change that. Futher, Jesus doesn't say he is his own Father. You are talking about modalism, which Christians do not believe. Symbolically eating his flesh is just a way of saying to evercise faith in him. Further, Jesus isn't removing some evil force from our soul, but rather, forgiving us of our sin, and imparting to us all we need to live better more fulfilling lives. Nobody says the tree was magical. Death came by disobedince to God; it didn't have to be a fruit, it could have been disobedience to any command. Sin brings death. The snake didn't have the power to talk of its own, but a spirit being was behim him. All this makes more sense to me than to think that the whole universe came into being by itself, and that non-living, undirected molecules collided together and accidentally formed life, and that somehow apes started to talk and became men, etc...
Me, too(though of course, it's not the reason I'm a Christian). Nice post

To me the bible is fiction and not fact therfore should not be used as a basis of your faith. Sorry just my view.
I dont believe in the way the church teaches us about Jesus there was no way he could of been white 6ft2 with blond hair.He was also married and had brothers he couldnt have been nailed to cross by hes hands because of the body weight it would of ripped hes arms off theres lots of proof if you read bible carefully.
reneldo: Define for us what a fact is, then define what fiction is.
Your passion for Jesus and the bible is so beautiful and you have brought a lot of factual evidence to back it up. Believe me a few of the spiritual things that has happened to me in life is not coincidence.
l would say to you the truth about bible but l'm not going to do it, enjoy the positive philosophy in it, at last don't you forget the best bible is written in your heart
nicky73: Yes with all my heart, he was the son of God who came to set us free from all our sins
If you belive in this then so be it . I have a milder and diferent view . So what ! ! ! ! We are both members of the same specise and I would never hate or dispise you for your beliefs . I think that if you truly belive in your religion you probably do also . Wether one belives in Jesus as a real God or just a myth doesn't matter . If you follow his social teachings then you will become a better person for it . Isn't that what spiritual beliefs are realy for ?
It's one thing to ask GOD for help for yourself .........
It's another to Beg him to help your friends suffering from painful disease . It naturally makes one completely lose faith when God selfishly and repeatedly punishes his children literally to death before your eyes.
anblu45: oh yes it does, it was writen on the cross too I.N.R.I Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum the more plausible God visage is that l posted above, ppl from Nazareth used that hair style to distingush them anyway God has not color you are right, as you can God is a trinity, take a look at our Madonna in Tindari Sicily-IT-
you can read inside the church "nigra sum sed formosa" is latino the ancient Italian it mean " l'm black and beautiful"
No proof here that the person (s) who made the madonna and child statue ever saw Jesus. Also, the words written on the cross do not discuss what Jesus looked like.

I guess if president Obama doesn't intervene to stop a genocide that would prove he didn't exit! That is your argument, isn't it? Just because you don't know God's reasons for allowing trajedy doesn't mean he doesn't exist.

This as an interesting video, created by some very talented individuals. I was very well thought out and impressively compelling. It was also full of misinformation, imaginative interpretations, and agenda set presuppositions. I will not go into how pre-messiah prophecies from ancient civilizations are often misconstrued for an actual set of religious doctrines, or how Jesus was not born on December 25th, nor was He crucified on December 25th. All of these contentions have already been addressed. I will say that this was a very well made video, and nicely created to promote its message.

I agree that we should always be respectful in our discussions here. I know I have been guilty of flying off the handle a time or two here. I am called to speak the truth in love, or not at all.
But...
I am called to speak the truth none the less.
And if I see a great multitude walking blindly toward a 100 ft cliff, believing there is no danger even though they can see others step off unto their deaths, I am going to sound a warning. I am going to say "WAKE UP! Wake up! Can't you see the direction in which you are going, can only lead to death?"
I am going to try to get some, to open their eyes.

Your statement implies you know God on a very intimate level. So how is it you know He is selfish? Or are you just supposing by your limited knowledge and objectivity? Are you just using stereotypes that paint God in this image?
If you ever decide to pursue the truth about God, instead of standing at a distance making uneducated guesses, you will find He is truly quite different from what you suppose.
