Take her in my arms, give her a beautiful kiss, pick her up in my arms, carry her to somewhere quiet under the stars, and make passionate love to her. Then take her for a coffee.
Coffee shop. It is in a public place, you can have a conversation to see how you get along and it is not a real long first date unless you want it to be.

I like something casual, low key for a first date. Nothing expensive or fancy. And dont the that stupid movie thing. A stroll on the beach and a Rita at sunset always works. Or a coffee house chat. A romantic gesture goes a long way maybe a flower or something...then let it unfold naturally

I am not chasing you (honestly), but you are reading my thoughts. We must be soul mates.

unfold..naturally....wish i were a fly on the wall.....
When you meet someone for the first time, it should be low key. A coffee shop, means getting to know someone very closely too soon. A movie expresses a flirty connection, but you do find out his emotions quickly.
That is why I like hiking. He helps you through the terrain, with hand holding and moderate talking.
Why isn't the zoo listed? It is hiking, picnic and concert all rolled in one - depending on the zoo.
It's safe, quiet enough to talk and entertaining with the etc. and then you can wow her with interesting facts for example - did you know turtles can breath through their butts?

I haven't had that many first dates. I was married young and for 20 years. Then I only dated a few guys before now, and am not in a serious relationship. The best first dates are simple ones. Go for a long walk (for example, by the bay when I used to live there, go to a coffee shop, get a glass of wine at a cozy pub type place, have lunch. Going out for the first time to a fancy dinner is not fun, imo. A first date is best just to spend the time getting to know someone.
