jvaski: YOUR Facts ...........
How are they my fact's? I didn't write the articles or speak in the video. Or is it your little lib world is coming crashing down and your not able to handle it?
"MADISON, Wis. – Faced with a near-certain Republican victory that would end a half-century of collective bargaining for public workers, Wisconsin Democrats retaliated with the only weapon they had left: They fled."
I had to laugh about this one......it's the Dems sample of things to come ......like when the Rebubs shut down the Gov
But, for once I have to agree with the Repubs - that we need to begin to lay-off public employees like Police, Firemen, School Teachers etc etc ....... Why should they be exempt from contributing to the cut-backs and job losses ??

I don't consider myself a "Lib" as you put it ....but I'm certainly not a Bone-headed Conservative like some here
You're just another angry anti-Obama whiner - who's trying to make a point with heaps of cut and pasting anything jaded against Obama....... the facts are boring and old news
One day you'll wake and realize it's a new day ....and things are changing all around you

Well he signed the bills don't you think it's about time that he start facing the piper so to speak. AN FYI I'm not bashing Obama or anyone else the House members are.
Yes I do see change every day. Don't think I'm blinded by my beliefs. JV. Change is good but in small steps not giant leaps.

I don't like everything he's doing either.....but I less like doing nothing - or worse - reverting back to all the principles that got us here in this mess

Well it did start back about 70-80 years ago but Obama has gone a bit to fast for the likes of most.
jvaski: How about just simply because he might not want to "control" every other country - purely because of his principles as a human being ...........
We all admit President is a nice guy, Juan. Very likeable. Very congenial. But that still did not get the 52,000 American in Egypt to have a traveling warning on the coming street protest in the country.
Coughing some?
See if Obama had really figured out back in August of last year....trouble was headed for Egypt....then he would have issued those travel warnings. It is part of his Job to protect Americans, you have to admit.
But the first travel warnings were not issued until after the street protest broke out there.
So what give here?
August of 2010, he orders a intra agency report on reform protest in Egypt and other ME countries. It comes back saying everything is ripe for rebellion. Yet the State department is happy to send American into the ME without a warning?
President Obama did not want to make that report public....because it would have looked like the US was meddling in the ME and in these street protest. He would rather protect his administration from the charge of hubris, than to protect Americans that are going blindly into harms way.

Conrad73: A "Throwing People Under The Bus Nice Guy"!
His August 2010 report on ME gov't reform protest was one of those non transperent & transperent documents....you know "for need to know parties in the American Gov't", Conrad. Even Hillary did not get a copy.
What is amazing here...is that wikileaka did not get a copy. It must have been special delivery....for the eyes of the POTUS only.
But I think that liberals and DEM have to add a new definition to the term 'street protest'.
At one time, Glenn Beck's 300,000 person Honor American rally was "street protest". But none went home in body bags, Washington was not torn apart, and the American government did not fall.
Now?
They had 24 killed in Libya alone so far. Two governments have hit the dust and were swept into the dust bins of history. And one can make a good living supplying rocks to Street protestors in dozen ME countries.
So I really think that it is time to change the liberal definition of 'Street Protesters'.
Here is some special reporting that only a foreign new agency can do on the American government.
God bless those Human flesh eating Brits that make skulls into cups (more on that at the end of the post). It does make a good read thru line though.
Rueters has a special report out....that say the Chinese were/are using their purchase of US T-Bills for getting favors and for "flexing its muscles".
A Chinese money manager asked Geither for a favor....maybe it was to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom of the WH?
The report from wikileak material (were else) says that after the economic crisis of 2008...the Chinese were losing billions in their holdings of the 'to big to fail' American banks. Get the picture?
Now we know were the 'to big to fail' term came from. It was not because it was the American people were getting clobbered here. But because those nuclear packin Chinese were getting hurt.
So now Obama is President.....and needs to sooth a angry Dragon.
So he sends the new FED Director...and others to the Chinese. Were after some fire breathing, roasting and a slight charring....they do the T-Bill deal. Which places Geither and other in line for favor making to the Chinese money managers.
I guess this is going to be another one of those non transperent/transperent reports within the US. If wikileaks and Rueters can write it up.....it is public. But our US media will not touch it with a 20 foot pole.
here are the sites.
The flesh eating Brits? A ancient Brit cave was found....with human remains that had been used as table settings.
And the Brits always wanted to know why we rebelled to get away from them.... Our forefathers were concerned about being made into cups and saucers.
MADISON, Wis. – Faced with a near-certain Republican victory that would end a half-century of collective bargaining for public workers, Wisconsin Democrats retaliated with the only weapon they had left: They fled.
Fourteen Democratic lawmakers disappeared from the Capitol on Thursday, just as the Senate was about to begin debating the measure aimed at easing the state's budget crunch.
By refusing to show up for a vote, the group brought the debate to a swift halt and hoped to pressure Republicans to the negotiating table.
"The plan is to try and slow this down because it's an extreme piece of legislation that's tearing this state apart," Sen. Jon Erpenbach said.
The move drew cheers from tens of thousands of protesters — teachers, prison guards and others targeted by the proposal — who filled the Statehouse during the past three days.
Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who took office just last month, has made the bill a top priority. He urged the group to return and called the boycott a "stunt."
"It's more about theatrics than anything else," Walker said, predicting that the group would come back in a day or two, after realizing "they're elected to do a job."
Walker said Democrats could still offer amendments to change the bill, but he vowed not to concede on his plan to end most collective bargaining rights.
With 19 seats, Republicans hold a majority in the 33-member Senate, but they are one vote short of the number necessary to conduct business. So the GOP needs at least one Democrat to be present before any voting can take place. Once the measure is brought to the floor, it needs 17 votes to pass.
Other lawmakers who fled sent messages over Twitter and issued written statements but did not disclose their location until hours later.
Erpenbach said the group had been in Rockford, Ill., but they dispersed by late afternoon.
In response to a question of where she was, Sen. Lena Taylor sent a tweet saying she was "doing the people's business. Power to the PEOPLE."
Sen. Tim Cullen of Janesville said he was back in Wisconsin by Thursday night, but he did not expect Democrats to return to take up the bill until Saturday.
As Republicans tried to begin Senate business around midday, observers in the gallery screamed "Freedom! Democracy! Unions!" Opponents cheered when a legislative leader announced there were not enough senators present to proceed.
The sergeant-at-arms immediately began looking for the missing lawmakers. If authorized, he can seek help from police.
Senate rules and the state constitution say absent members can be compelled to appear, but it does not say how.
"Today they checked out, and I'm not sure where they're at," Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said. "This is the ultimate shutdown, what we're seeing today."
The Senate planned to try again to convene Friday. The Assembly took no action Thursday but could take up the bill on Friday whether the Senate does or not, said John Jagler, spokesman for Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald.
ain't it touching how they take care of the People's Business?
I just got the answer to who is the most trusting people on the planet are?
The answer: Europeans.
The reason: The US and Russia are spatting over the EU missile defense system. Now the American want this to be a US/NATO run anti missile system. The Russian want to co partner in the management of the EU missile defense system.
And when you read this article....see if the Europeans have a opinion to this spat? They don't. They are all
Not only that. The European are saying...it is OK that the anti missile system is not aimed at the Russian ICBMs. Yep another Russian term for its emplacement.
It is like the Russian are saying.....don't mind our 1500 START approved Nuc sitting here in Russia. We will never use them on Europe. So no need to point your anti missile systems in our direction. We are harmless.
And the Europeans have 'no comment' on it. Which either makes them the most trusting people on the face of the planet.....or......
jvaski: You'de like that - wouldn't you Ttom ......to have Obama "control " the middle eastern events ?
Typichal Republican thingy... They respect the president of the country only if he acts exactly as Republicans want him to! Pretty stupid demand but hey... Repubheads can not really "Getting It" , so pretty normal
Hot_Single_Dude: Typichal Republican thingy... They respect the president of the country only if he acts exactly as Republicans want him to! Pretty stupid demand but hey... Repubheads can not really "Getting It" , so pretty normal
We respect the gentleman from IL, Dude. It seems he has been making big turns to the middle road of recent. So we have few complaints at present.
Speaker Bohener and several REP have a breakfast with him....everyone comes out saying...'we can work together'.
Till you get to FL REP Governor Rick Scott..who just turned down Obama's $3b for Florida High Speed Rail.....saying Florida does not have matching funds for it. Most REP are happy campers right now. The growing number of State filling briefs on Obama care. The AZ sueing the FED for not securing the border.....everyone here is hunky dory.

You really expect a Republican knows what "priciples as a human being" means JV?
Now how often does the Prosecutor in a capitol crime....ask the judge to keep the media from getting investigated photos, and other information on the accused from the media?
If you understand this.....it is a way for the Prosecutor to influence the local jury pool to a minor degree....with such releases.
So is a pretty common practice.
But.....in Jarel Loughlens case. The FED prosecutor and local prossecutor are aaking the Judge for a release hold on all such material. So this is the first time that a DEF attroeny and Prosecutor have agreed on pre trial release of such material.
Local media is asking for a release of the evidence taken at the Jarel Loughlen house.....you know anything that might further enlighen us to his political leanings.
And the FED Prosecution is saying no.
But still telling us what kind of leanings those are.....
Ain't freedom of the press a great thing.................
ttom500: It might have been nice if he had informed those 52,000 American going to the Eygpt....that he had all this knowledge of coming events.
Not possible to know what exactly was coming but one thing was sure and that there was no thing agianst foreingers particulary what so ever and so on...
Now watch this and enjoy and be sure Bushney,s sad and mad Evil empire is gone and then many nations can breath for the first time for real:
