When it comes to the elderly, I admire the Asian culture where they are well looked after by their relatives...especially their own children until death knocks....

Hi Summer and Lachi, Long time huh!!! How are you ladies' doing?? Mine is also a very lazy one! Did nothing at all. Watched my Korean film as well last night.Felt too lazy to do the house chores especially now that the lady working for me is on a one week break for this Ramadan celebration. Food is very simple and practical - no cooking, just plain bread with vegetables!!.. I am on a 2 week break from school and a week from my tutorial centre... Enjoy your break....
When I was in Alaska back in the mid 80's, Marijuana was legalized there (if I remember right). My private tutor had it growing in his spare bedroom for his own use. When I was out working on the set net site on a remote island of Kodiak, it was grown as a substitute should the supplies of cigarettes came in late, was used just like tobacco.
If it is to be legalized for commercial purposes, that would bring in lots of bucks and lots of negative aspects associated with it.
Happy Ramadan Aid to you Capt. 2nd day here in Indonesia and I'll be visiting my muslim friends' home later today to celebrate with them. I received lots of 'ketupat' rice cooked in woven coconut fronds mixed with coconut cream and chicken yesterday... was yummy!!!!...
Once a partner decides to make a move solely because of love , that means he/she is willing to make changes, blend in with the people and culture. I believe in that cos I made the same decision 18 years ago. Fell in love with an Indonesian, married him, had 3 beautiful children, moved to his country, studied his language and culture, found a job (which wasn't in my field of expertise)and all worked out beautifully for both us.
Many friends of mine asked me why marry someone that is not from my country, different cultures etc etc etc...MY response was SIMPLE - I love the man and I've made my commitment to be with him. SO I guess the saying "LOVE KNOWS NO BARRIER" is very true... and yes, cross fingers and hope for the best!!!!
