I worked today too and I understand you completely. I don't think men really some men to be unreasonable, maybe they just don't think about the fact that when you are dating a woman who is financially responsible for herself and perhaps for her children too she must work many hours and she cannot be there for him many times. He will not be able to see her on his time anymore. With every gain there is a loss an many people men and women sometimes forget about that very important fact of life.

If you want a man or woman who is financially sound and secure ....well, you cannot expect that peson to be able to see you at your time of convenience....does this make sense?

He is definitely a nerd.....I don't know why just a few years should keep you apart. Sometimes nerds can be a bit shy, perhaps you should try the indirect approach. Ask him if he would like to go to a science fair with you one time

Listen to me.....I have been where you are now many times over and the fact that you are so humble means that you have great depth and inner wisdom. DO NOT EVER QUIT TRYING! and keep seeking every option or possible opportunity you may have available. Something a stranger will help you much more than your family will. Sometimes family will judge and discourage but a friend will be more willing to help. Seek out support groups or perhaps programs for single moms....and never forget : YOU ARE NOT ALONE
