Lovely day.

Thanks for your comments everyone. Yes WEEPING jobs are hard to find here in Brighton. The current business manager took over the running of the restaurant in 2010. With this manager he listens if his employees have problems and helps them out as best he can. He had been looking out for my son's application for a while but until I told him a couple of weeks ago he hadn't realized that my son's surname is different to mine. I never married my son's father so when he was born we put both our surnames as his surname so that when he got older he could either use it as a double barreled surname or choose which surname he preferred. My son chose to use his father's surname. My son feels nervous, which is natural, and at the same time looking forward to the experience. He wants to look his best so he was sorting out what he's going to wear tomorrow. His sister is phoning for a chat tonight and she's just as excited as he is. teddybear banana dancing

At last I'm now able to load the photos.

Sorry to hear that parti. Could be you're right re seagulls. I took some more photos today. I managed to photograph a pair of swans---beautiful birds. I'll post today's photos on my next day off. Have a good evening/day. beer

RE: Balancing the scales . . .

Sorry about your loss cofy. You have a great attitude to life. hug comfort

At last I'm now able to load the photos.

Thanks for your comments guys. @parti---the seagulls are the only birds that don't fly away when I approach them with the camera---I adore them especially the baby ones.
Last week minus the adobe I tried to upload my photos not only on this site but also facebook and had a lot of problems with it. It wouldn't even get up to 50% before going right back to 0 and then starting all over again. I'm not the most patient of people when it comes to uploading photos but taking 5 minutes to get to 10% is going a bit far. Now my son's put the adobe on it's a lot quicker. After I posted this blog I read parti's blog about cs being slow. I must admit I experienced a few problems with the time it took to view blogs and sign in and out last week.

Relaxing Day

Thanks Parti. It looks like I might have to switch to a different anti-virus.

RE: Options . . .

I'm fine thanks cofy. It's good to see you again as well. I've just spent a bit of time on facebook. I'm working tomorrow then 3 days off. One of the managers told me to put something cold on the bump so I've put a clean tea towel in the freezer and will put that on it shortly. Then I'll turn in for the night. Don't worry it's only a small bump and my first accident in the 11 years I've worked for the restaurant. Until tomorrow. Goodnight everyone. Have a good evening.teddybear hug

RE: Options . . .

Hi cofy to be honest at this moment in time I'm happy doing this. I started work at 5.30 this morning and finished about 80 minutes or so ago. Nearly a 12 hour shift and a busy one. Toward the end of which I had a minor accident---I slipped and banged my head on a post. I didn't actually fall over and managed to stay on my feet. I've got a lovely bump on my forehead. It's gone in the accident book at work and I had an ice pack put on it. It's nice to sit here and relax reading the blogs. Have a good evening.hug wine

terbear so sorry to hear this. You will be missed. My thoughts are with you.hug teddybear bouquet

Have a Great Day/Evening Everyone.

Thanks for your comments. Don't worry Lazly I won't give up doing what I enjoy doing for a man. When I married my first husband I was 19 years old and was raised to do as I was told whether it was my parents or a husband. Over the years I've changed and developed a mind of my own. I don't expect a man to give up what he likes doing and I expect a man to give me the same respect. After all a relationship is about mutual love and respect as well as trust.

Have a Great Day/Evening Everyone.

I do like photography Lazly. I bought my first camera in my teens. In those days I mostly photographed friends and family. Then when I married my first husband I gave it up and concentrated on married life. I started the hobby again last year after ending a relationship. It's a way of relaxing and now my tastes have changed---I like landscape and seascape photography plus taking photos of my pets.

RE: Oh The Joy

cswelcome Hi Pest welcome to CS.

Today's photos

Thanks for the comments. It was funny with the sky yesterday in some parts it was angry and yet in others brilliant sunshine. It was my day off yesterday and I went for a nice long walk. I had to use the camera on my phone because I forgot to charge up the battery on my digital camera and it wouldn't work.

@Stony Great photo.

Here are the promised photos.

I live near the race course but on the other side. I remember my parents taking me to watch the horse racing when I was a child. Rottingdean is one of my favourite places. I think Rudyard Kipling had a house there.

Here are the promised photos.

I know Rock Gardens WEEPINGMIST. Brighton is a lovely place. I was born in Brighton and when I married my first husband I moved to Portsmouth and lived there for the 13 years I was married to him. I've been back in Brighton for 22 years now. You might know Saltdean. That's where the third picture was taken and the first picture was taken just as I was coming back into the Marina. Thanks for your comments. Have a good day/evening.

Here are the promised photos.

Hi Lazly thanks for the comment. I should have made myself clearer. It's the bird in the second photo I'm not sure about. When I walk along the coast I see a lot of these birds flying about. It's not often one will sit still long enough to have it's photo taken. I only ever see these birds along the coast never inland. I've found that seagulls don't mind having their photos taken provided I don't get too close.

RE: confusing times

I agree with Springlark. Also you don't have to drink alcohol when you go into a pub/bar. The one I go in does a lovely hot chocolate with cream on top. If bars/pubs aren't to your liking if you have a nice bit of coast line or countryside near you go for a walk or as Springlark says join a club.

RE: To Skype or not to Skype

Thanks Yash. My daughter lives in Dublin so when she visits on Tuesday I'll ask if she has a skype account and if she has I'll set one up. Might be better than the way we usually contact each other---usually through facebook. Anyway I'm off to bed now I have to be up for work in the morning. Goodnight everyone.gnite

RE: Standing up to sarcasm

Great blog honeybzz. Usually I ignore sarcasm though sometimes I'll make out that my hearing aids batteries need replacing and I haven't heard what they've said---especially in a noisy situation where I have problems hearing anyway. Nine times out of ten the person concerned can't be bothered to repeat what they've said. Can be useful being deaf sometimes.laugh rolling on the floor laughing

It's not only chips parti. When I've done trash walks at work I've seen them fly off with the little pots the the dips come in. When I first saw them doing this I used to chase them to try and get the pots to put in the bin. I gave up though they have the advantage of being able to fly and I don't.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Davey Jones r.i.p.

Age

Thank you for your comments. Thing with me is if I sit still for too long I fall asleep then I can't sleep at night. In recent months when I've not been active walking or working I've been active in another sense----reading books and magazines. I've gone back to an interest I had as a teenager---reading about true crime though it's mostly centred around true crime of the 19th century now. Interesting stuff. I still do the photography and last Thursday I entered a competition where we were awarded stickers for our work plus advice on where we could make improvements. I got a silver and bronze sticker for the 2 photos I entered in the competition. There were some really good photos in the competition. My favourites being of garden birds where the guy who had taken the photos had used bird seed to attract the birds to his garden so that he could photograph them.

RE: The Truth About Online Dating!

Good blog RoofusX. At this moment in time I'm enjoying being single and I'm not looking for that special guy though if he should come into my life I certainly wouldn't turn him down. Looks for me yes that's important that's what attracts me but doesn't necessarily keep me. For me it has to feel right, not something I can put into words. Financial stability-----for me from past experience relationships and financial stability don't always go together. A person can have financial stability without being in a relationship. Companionship is what some people go after amongst other things. thumbs up

Heart Skips A Beat

Sorry about that. I tried it out when I posted it and it worked but I guess it doesn't work for everybody. Thanks for letting me know.

Is there?

@ Yash yes the photography is going well thanks. I entered a competition at the club. No prizes but an expert giving their opinion on our photos and awarding stickers. I got a silver and a bronze for my two photos. My favourite photos in the competition though were photos this guy took of the birds in his garden. Thanks for your comments.
