I think I was in Margarita about 2001 and to my knowledge we were warned then that there were a few undesirables on the island and to be careful.

I did notice the intense heat though and you couldn't walk on the sand with no shoes.

Loved it though.

I spent a day at Margarita Island many years ago while on a Caribbean cruise. Such beautiful beaches and unspoiled. I rescued a flying fish floundering in the shallows.

I bought 2 bottles of Orange rum . Very potent indeed.

Such lovely memories.

Having a fixation re Donald Trump is one thing and yes it is very noticeable on here and I've got broad shoulders [ have to when you post on C.S. ] but the country is divided and it's going to take a big person to pull it all together and so far that hasn't happened.

It is still is an enigma to me as to why anyone would want to elect old men to head their country ,or are they just puppets and someone else is pulling their strings to operate them

I have no particular interest in American politics to be honest, but have to say I am at a loss regards the choice of Presidents.

America is the 3rd. most populated country in the World with approx. 330 million people.

36.5 per cent are aged between 18-44

26.4 per cent are aged between 45-64

So why on earth would you re elect a President of 74 Donald Trump , or consider electing a President of 77 namely Joe Biden?

No country for old men springs to mind.

My bad I had a blog of my own running and I probably overlooked your comment on Minneapolis.

What I am trying to comprehend is why the Police in America shoot to kill. That's what I don't understand. By shooting the victim 3 times in the back and killing him the law enforcement officer has put himself in an untenable position, and don't keep mentioning the taser as the victim was running away not towards the police.

Just my interpretation of the incident, and I'm really not trying to be argumentative ,just trying to understand the logic.

I've been about a long while and even now I don't profess to know everything about past history but some of these people who are causing this angst across the World probably know less than me.

The Romans were good at toppling statues ,so are we regressing back in time.

Remember the Berlin Wall Soon? Built to divide and separate and what exactly did it achieve.

So many from our past have "horrible history" including my own country but unless we learn about the past and accept it we will never be able to move forward to a brighter future.

A world in turmoil it would seem. Sad to say I can't see any of this going away any time soon.

I can understand anger and frustration but what could have been a successful protest around the World has lost it's cause by the wilful acts of vandalism and destruction . Going to be hard to get society back on track after this debacle.

I wasn't thinking about the compensation, more about the comment re the laser gun and that fact that 4 children had been deprived of their Father.

More a compassionate outlook rather than factual so to speak.

Just read this article and yes you were right he was in the drive in queue apparently. My assumption was the car was parked in a parking lot.



This comment stood out to me the most.

The man was asleep in the car when apprehended. So why not do the breathalyser while he was contained.

This is an area populated by families and as one other video shows, a family with children actually watched this man be taken down by gunfire. as the parent called out at the time.

Sorry Soon but I still cannot accept 3 bullets in the back for whatever reason. The man had family .

A gorgeous day yesterday, very hot and sunny, but today not so good dull and overcast.

Re Cherie, our vet is still self isolating to a degree as the pet owners are not allowed in just the pets which Cherie hated as she doesn't like me out of her sight due to past history. She was really good though and hopefully no more visits for a while as I have a stock of flea and worm treatment. Next outing will be to
the groomer as it's really out of hand after 5 months,

Thanks also for your input and it still seems to be ticking over on a daily basis . Think it's turned into a peaceful journal

I'm sorry but if the facts are correct and he was sleeping in his car for whatever reason, resists arrest after being woken up ,takes a taser then runs away and get's shot 3 times apparently in the back how can you possibly say this is justified.

After what happened in Minneapolis don't you think that this person was terrified .A taser versus three armed police, do me a favour.
