RE: The Idea of America Lives in Americans

Read this on an official U.S. document. It's a large part of the problem apparently.

9.13.23_camarota_testimony_help_subcommittee_hearing_on_open_borders_and_workforce.pdf

Visa Overstays. A significant number of new illegal immigrants, and perhaps a majority before
the current border surge, were admitted legally on a temporary visa or under the visa waiver
program and then did not leave the country when the time limit expired. DHS for FY 2022
showed 850,000 foreign visitors overstayed their authorised stay in that year. The total overstay
rate for 2022 was 3.64 percent, which is more than double the rate of recent years.
Of course, not
all of these individuals stay long term, and there is always some number of people who leave the
country but their departure was not properly recorded.Still, the current level of overstays is much
higher than in 2021

RE: The Idea of America Lives in Americans

Despite the rhetoric surrounding illegal immigration and the Mexican border by the Trump administration, most illegal immigrants living in the U.S are not those who have crossed the border illegally. The vast majority of undocumented immigrants in the U.S are people who have overstayed their visas.

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

Hi Grandwave

I'm usually honest with any response .Unfortunately my answers are not always what others want to readgrin

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you on the 29th. February .All I could do is adopt you but it's not what you are looking for.cheering

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

Where did I state that. Stop reading into my posts and making your own assumptions Grand. Frankly I've never been a fan of Trump and it has nothing to do with politics. To me he is ill mannered and shows little or no respect for women.I hate loud mouthed frogs at the best of times .Let's face it he's not much younger than me!

I've no doubt he will land back in the White House as there is no competition but I really do dread the thought and what long term effect this will have on the "average" American let alone the rest of the World.

As Rhett Butler said in "Gone with the wind" "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn"[about Trump]

handshake

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

So we should all keep quiet then and not be entitled to an opinion.dunno

I believe in Father Christmas . grin

RE: Way to Go Dementia Joe ...

@ Gal

Are you aware that Fred Trump had dementia.? Although not classed as hereditary you never know and the way D.T. is ranting at the moment one begins to wonder if he's losing his marbles too.

Dementia is a dreadful disease by the way so fingers crossed it never happens to you.handshake

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

Seems that way but to hero worship without fully knowing some real facts seems a bit ridiculous.sigh

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

What has any of this got to do with Trump building New Yorkdunno

I was in the World Trade centre the year before and 911 devastated me too as it did most people.

Silverstein rebuilt the area not Trump so what is your point.?

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

The Trumps are immigrants. Check back to their past. Grandfather ran hotels and also brothels in Seattle before moving to Canada where yet again he ran brothels. He was also another draft dodger.

I can't view your link but do know it is a sweeping statement with regards to the Trumps.

RE: Who is next?

So you keep saying ,but are you really sure about that.

This is what the Czech president thinks:-

"Russian President Vladimir Putin, after his expected re-election as head of state, will seek to achieve at least partial goals - full control over the occupied regions, especially Donbas," he says.

At the same time, Pavlo notes that the war in Ukraine will not end quickly, "because neither Russia nor Ukraine can achieve their goals."

"Logically, Ukraine seeks to regain full control over its territory within internationally recognized borders, which should be supported," he says.

Why is no-one else allowed to put themselves forward for election in the next Vote for Presidency in Russia . Makes Putin appear like a despot to be honest .What is he afraid of?

RE: Trump... The man who built New York

The Dutch were the first people to establish New York in the 17th century or had you forgotten that.

There were many innovative builders following which is why the city has so many art deco buildings such as the Empire State building amongst others.

In 1979, Trump purchased and subsequently demolished the old Bonwit Teller store. The demolition was not without controversy and included the surprise destruction of several works of art originally intended to be saved. He then proceeded to build Trump Tower with the help of illegal immigrants.

Go figure.

RE: Who is next?

Doesn't that depend on which horse you are prepared to back.?

Nobody on here has a clue about what Putin has or has not done it's all circumspect, but I'll lay odds on the horse that says he's not on the straight and narrow.handshake

RE: Only the Irish can save Ireland

We are running out of food apparently.

World population too big to feed by 2050

The world population could be too big to feed itself by 2050. By then, there will be almost 10 billion people on the planet and food demand will have increased by 70 percent compared to 2017. Scientists put the limit on how many people Earth can feed at 10 billion - max!

Another point to consider.

The earth is losing a key foundation for food production: Topsoil. We will need to double food production to feed humanity. But the basic resources for food production are becoming scarce. The world is currently losing 75 billion tonnes of topsoil a year.handshake

RE: The Verdict

Oh so the fines are warranted then.grin

RE: The Verdict

I thought your National Debt had increasedconfused

The national debt on Jan. 19, 2017, the day before Donald Trump was inaugurated president, was $19,944,429,217,107.

On Jan. 19, 2021, the day before Joe Biden was inaugurated, the debt was: $27,752,835,868,445 — about $7.8 trillion higher.

As of July 14, 2023, more than halfway through Biden’s term, the debt had risen by another roughly $4.7 trillion, to $32,542,410,783,067.

RE: The Verdict

That's a sweeping statement Gal. Are you saying that your judicial system is totally corruptdunno

Do you actually believe that All the charges against Trump were manufactured? His shady dealing in the hotel and casino businesses leave a lot to be desired.

Be careful what you wish for Gal. Whether or not he wins the presidency again, the Age of Trump isn’t over. The challenge his return could pose for US policy is already here.

handshake

RE: Breaking news...

Love you too charmer. Where's Luke when i need him.crying

Well at least we have agreed on something re age limits. That's a first.grin

RE: Breaking news...

Well if that was the only thing wrong with the World today I'd say "Huston we don't have a problem"grin

Foreign intelligence involved in a court issue? Pass on that one as I'm not really interested in Trump's charges though I certainly am not of the opinion that all these charges were Trumped up that's for sure.

I still maintain both Biden and Trump should be disqualified from being President. Get to my age Grand and you'll figure out why as I' m older than both of them.grin

RE: Breaking news...

Most people make assumptions about my ideology Grand whereas I try to sit on the fence and try see both sides of a coin. All this blaming the West ,just what countries have people included in this grand sweep.

I'm not a lover of a man who controls a country claiming to be a people person when he's one of, if not the richest man in the World. Where does one acquire such wealth ?

I see America falling to pieces from allowing O.A.P's to rule the roost and dividing a Nation.

Is N.A.T.O the E.U or the U.S. really to blame for our World falling apart.?

Politics religion and greed have a lot to answer for and there are so many corrupt people in Government it's hard to sort the wheat from the chaff ,so I'll just potter along with my thoughts and get hauled over the coals by those who think they have the answer to all of the ongoing issues we are ALL facing.handshake

Without stating the obvious Chancer is it really conceivable that ALL these fraud charges were invented and that ALL of the justice system is corrupt and Trump is a clean as a whistle and all because they don't want him re-elected .That really is a stretch too far don't you think.dunno

As they say there is no smoke without fire.

RE: Sincerity vs hypocrisy

Hi Track hug

I tend to think we should walk a mile in someone else's shoes before we criticise them . Why so many people are judgemental is beyond me. None of us a perfectsigh

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

I sometimes wonder at the state of minds of heads of State ,especially one's at war, if you think what he said was meant to be taken lightly.doh

I do get your point though sadly.

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

To my knowledge his cause of death has not been established as he has only just passed away and it would surely take a post mortem to discover the cause of death and I can't see that happening.

A penal colony know as Polar Wolf 40 miles North of the Arctic is hardly a place for anyone to be expected to survive under normal circumstances so if he did have a health condition it beggars believe that he would have been transferred there.dunno

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

With respect to you Ten this was an arranged interview for a purpose which basically failed. What do you make of Putin's latest support of Biden?

It would appear that freedom of press is denied in Russia so the only "truth" we have is to arrange interviews. Is free expression allowed in Russia? I very much doubt it.

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

I don't have a magic wand and there is no message ,just my own personal thoughts on what I see across the World .

Our past does not define our future but it really should help to shape it and this is not happening. Ever heard the expression "the abused becomes the abuser" ? Well take it out of context and look at our world and see the abuse of people, some of whom have absolutely no control of their destiny as most deaths in war are civilians

Where does the morality feature in this Grand? Should those in power be held morally responsible for the slaughter of innocents .

The threats that come from people in power could become a reality,so do they have the right to murder ,yes murder, ordinary civilians going about their daily lives. Do you agree with trying to wipe a nation out with nuclear weapons just as we saw with the U.S attack on Japan.?

It's Valentine's Day so let's make love not war.heart wings

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

I disagree gal. It made me think about why this "interview " took place. I looked upon it as a sales promotion and for what purpose.

You made a blog about a man who is part of a huge issue in today's World so what did you expect.

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

Where did I mention World police. dunno

Forget about your obsession with Trump and Putin .They are not going to solve the problems that the human race is facing. Both are in their dotage and neither of them will suffer from starvation or loss of their homes, kids, or even countries as others are suffering .

In less than a decade there have been over 400 anti-government protests worldwide ,more than 132 experiencing significant protests ,and many of these protests have lasted more than 3 months.

Unrest is rife and the current ongoing situations could just tip the balance. It's not about who is right or who is wrong it's about who cares.

sigh

RE: Has anyone seen Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with President Vladimir Putin?

Nothing would surprise me to be honest. When you finish worrying about whether anyone has watched this video take a good look around the World in general then tell me you are happy with the state of affairs.

The World is on the brink of something really nasty.

Wake up and smell the coffee.handshake
