I've been in and out of the video, TV, advertising, special events, scripting, coaching actors, acting, theatre, short movies and so on for many years. I can honestly tell you, it takes a lot of money right now to get a movie, even a short movie released nationally or enough to recognitions away from just one's hometown.

I once did a tv show a week, then it went to every other week and it was tough to get it all together...but I managed to do it for some years. It is not easy to do a movie.. you need to get together sponsors, investors such as executive producers, producers, perhaps directors if you yourself dont do it, many writers or consultants to help you get the right audience appeal, scenery, rights to shoot here, shoot there.. scripts.. actors, lighting, camera crew, editors... make up, sound engineers, locations scouts, film distributors.. electric crew, communications crew, wardrobe, legal rights, business licenses so that the government or state gets their part.. and on and on... with tiring amounts of hours and hours of work and very little rest or sleep... and still there are no guarantees that it will all work.

Every year, Hollywood rejects many great movies.. that we will never know of. Some with big name actors. Just some will never see the screen or video market.

However, regardless of the gambles and downsides, we love what we do, and we keep beleiving. I still have plans for a short movie, which friends have been asking me for, for some years now... but I will do it when the time is right for me, and no sooner or later.

I hope YOU have great success in your venture. No matter what has happened to others... YOU can always make something great happen.. if you just keep faith and keep believing in your project. I truly wish you the best! I wish you great success!

Im an animal lover too. I dont like to see or read about such things... but several years ago, my work was missing a technician and so they sent me to connect some wires at a major meat company near town here.. and I had to wear protective helmet with shield and gloves and boots and coat.. I had to go right through the middle of everything happening.. and I just kept my eyes downward.. until I got to the small operating office where I did my work and got out of there as soon as possible. Unfortunately, that place made me feel sick that day. Strange, when I was a kid, none of that got to me.. but now it does.

Anyways, NO MATTER what you felt in the past or now... the day you encounter the ONE who truly captures your heart.. then all these kinds of thoughts and talk will be thrown out the window.

All the second guessing or the "this is what I want is to be single" or all that stuff.. will out the window when REAL LOVE comes a knocking and melts your heart... and all the disappointments of the past or uncertainties of the past.. will have all been worth it.. when you finally find great love and happiness.

Interesting deep thoughts here. Many years ago, I worked with a guy who asked me "Am I in your world, or are you in mine?" He added "What if earth, or perhaps our universe is simply a grain of sand in bigger place?" Very deep, but yes, I think we all second think many things in our lives when met with challenges and obstacles. It all tests our faiths and convictions.

Hi Mike,

You're not alone on this problem. I can see all videos anywhere else on this site and on any other site on the net.. except on the blogs here.

I can hear them, but can't see them, again this only happens on the blog section here. It was working, and suddenly one day it stopped. This has been going on for about two weeks. So, I no longer worry about it. I post music videos after my blogs sometimes anyway, or sometimes I just post the LINK and that works better for me and perhaps for others too.

Just thought I'd let you know, you're not alone on this, and my computer is new with all programs on it new too.
