These days you do have to go into a relationship thinking it won't last. I would never have a joint account or joint credit card with anyone no matter how much I loved them. Also would have them sign a pre-nup. Its to protect yourself and if the person loves you then they will understand it. I also don't think my past in anyone's business but my own. Its not a point of having anything to hide; it simply is none of their business.

I am single by choice. I put my career first. Now I find men my age don't know what they want and I can't be bothered to play thier silly mind games. I suspect I will stay single until I die but doesn't mean I won't enjoy living my life.

Not being prejudice but I have done more in 20 years in the military before you were even born. You haven't done anything compared to what I have experienced so what the hell would you have in common with me for example? I find it hard to even have a conversation with a guy your age, so why the frack would I date him? Have you traveled? Had a career? Have you challenged yourself physically? Mentally? Have you put your life in danger or been in charge of people? Have you made life and death decisions? Again, what would I have in common with someone so young.

I complete understand where you are coming from. My parents were religous dolts too and beat the crap out of us. Turned me off to religion. I say just enjoy life for what it is. Don't let some stupid woman ruin your life as I wouldn't let any guy ruin mine. To be honest I was happy and then one day decided to start dating again. Three guys, three abusers and the last one almost broke my neck by attacking me from behind. Not to mention the many others I wasted time with. Now I just come to the forums and have a few laughs. So, forget dating and just have fun.
