RE: Egypt in Prophecy?

Joseph

Seven years of bumper crops are on their way
Years of plenty, endless wheat and tons of hay
Your farms will boom, there won?t be room
To store the surplus food you grow
After that, the future doesn?t look so bright
Egypt?s luck will change completely overnight
And famine?s hand will stalk the land
With food an all-time low

Noble king, there is no doubt
What your dreams are all about
All these things you saw in your pajamas
Are a long-rang forecast for your farmers

Joseph, Female Ensemble & Children
And I?m sure it?s crossed your mind
What it is you have to find
Find a man to lead you through the famine
With a flair for economic planning
But who this man could be
I just don?t know
Who this man could be
I just don?t know
Who this man could be
I just don?t know

I think this is what Isiah was on about!

RE: A little conundrum...

If he's a drinker then who knows how many years of turmoil his wife lived through with him and still stood by him! I say this as an ex drunk myself. You can't judge a person by a daily 5 minute conversation.

Also, surely his possessions and monies are also his in that they accumulated them as a married couple which is a legal partnership.

I don't know about the law in England, Wales or Ireland, but in Scotland he can only securely leave 1/3 of his estate outside the family.conversing

Just injecting some more possibilities.

RE: imf bailout

It's a sort of twisted Robin Hood thing where we, the poor, borrow from the rich to finance the former rich (before they run out of money)who were responsible for making us poor in the first place!

Obviously there's a feel good factor for us for doing a good deed and that is why we pay interest! It's like paying tax and duty on booze! People like you are just greedy expecting to feel good free of charge! scold

Simple really!wink

RE: Belfast....nice hotel suggestions please!

OK...you're obviously not the sharpest tool in the box so we'll do this a step at a time.

Someone living in the 6 counties decides they want to join CS!

They register with the site and create their profile.

When they log on to the threads, the system does not default to the EU site, the Oz/NZ site, the Canadian site, the International site or the Irish site. It defaults to the UK site. Why? Because their ISP providers give them a UK i/p address. Nothing to do with religeon or politics. The same if they lived in Harris, Lewis, Holyhead or Berwick Upon Tweed.

Now if I am looking for a Belfast hotel, I'm going to look for a native of Belfast to inform me! And where am I going to find most of the Belfast members of CS?

....On the UK site where they are registered.

Perhaps you should try living at home for a while because you're so far removed, you don't have a clue how the infrastructure on the island is set up!

Eircom is the main provider in the Republic! BT is the main provider in the North. Both are part of the island of Ireland.

But thank you for boosting the average IQ on the island by moving to France!

RE: Belfast....nice hotel suggestions please!

Put the same post on the UK site. You may get a better response from someone in the 6 counties!conversing

What Ecconomy Measures Are You Taking?

Well, so far I am collecting dead wood from the local woodland to use as kindling rather than paying between €2.50 and €4.00 per bag!

I use my bicycle or walk to the shops and have stopped buying premium brands. Where possible I shop at Lidel or Aldi including their own brand of washing powder! I live alone and their beef, lamb, chicken or turkey ready meals are just fine!

I buy cheap concentrated kitchen and bathroom cleaner and mix them with water in old spray bottles.

I buy toiletries.....toothpaste, deoderant, hand soap, shaving foam etc from the €2 shop.

I like Gold Blend coffee so I shop around and refuse to pay more than €2.50 per 100 grammes. If I see a good deal, I buy loads of it. There's 4 jars in my cupboard.

Is anybody else on an ecconomy drive and do you have any tips?conversing

RE: death penalty

Other than revenge and emotional satisfaction, I can see no reason to re instate hanging! There have been too many wrong convictions for my liking.

The UK are still haunted by the executions of Ruth Ellis, Derek Bentley and James Hanratty!

Ellis was a broken woman at the end of her tether when she shot her lover. Derek Bentley had a mental age of 11 due to brain damage in childhood. He was in police custody when his underage partner shot a policeman and Hanratty's alibi was only verified after his appointment with the hangman!

But worse! Can you imagine being the parent of one of the condemned knowing your flesh and blood is about to be killed and you are powerless to do anything about it! I think any mother would be on sedatives the rest of her life.

So, it's a big NO! from me!
