That's not the point. We elected MEPs and it is their job or perhaps the ECB or the IMF's and not the national governments of member states to dictate policy in Europe. Seems that Germany has won WW3 without a shot being fired. I'm amazed you think this is ok that we have ceded sovereignty not even to Europe but to Germany.

Secondly, Germany made a fortune when the Euro was created. It was engineered that way to suit their exports. It was not German tax payers money we were leant but the profit from the change over.

Am I the only one who has noticed in the last couple of weeks that the decisions are not being made in Brussels but in Berlin and Paris? Seems we are answerable to Angela Merkle and the German and French national governments now and not so much to the European Parliament.

Eating Disorders

The latest manifestation of my OCD and addictive behaviour is that I can't seem to stop eating or thinking about food. Even after a meal, I'm wanting more food and it's not hunger driven. I will eat till I feel sick and then give myself a hard time for doing it.

Has anybody ever sought help for this sort of thing? I've been off alcohol for 14 years and nicotine for 3 but you can't abstain from food.

This is really starting to get me down. I'm even thinking about staying in bed all day in my pjs so I can't go out for chocolate. And I'm diabetic too so this could kill me!

We have an Irish member in the same position, and nothing and I mean nothing seems to hold her back. She goes to meets, dances and days out and appears to go on dates more often than most folk.

But I do acknowledge that people do seem to feel akward when dealing with thosde with disabilities though I would argue, it's more through lack of education than anything else.

That's why I don't post much any more. The trolls have continued with profile after profile and nothing is done. I try to post politely and I'm banned off the thread. I start my own thread and its removed.

The only thing missing from CS is a tumbleweed emoction and a headstone.

Well, I suppose I'm a Brit and living here and like many I've complained that Martin McGuiness and Gerry Adams should be using the political process as opposed to using violence. So I've got my wish but there's a couple of things don't sit right with me now and did not sit right with me when they took up their jobs in the North.

Firstly, the families of the victims seem to have been ignored. Reconciliation and healing has been set aside in the interests of compromise and political expediency. Many of the disappeared are still on the missing list. Every morning as these families will wake up under a SF presidency, they will feel the pain of their loss.

This leads to my second point. Back in 1922, there was a political vacuum when the Brits pulled out of here and certain self interest groups such as the Catholic Church and Dev and his bhoys moved in keeping the general population both in poverty and in ignorance as they bulldozed all in their path and exhaulted their own positions and bank accounts.

My point is that a democroatic republic has never existed here to this day. Merely, one set of masters has been replaced by another.

Today we have a situation where the largest political party in the state has imploded and left another vacuum at a point where the economy in in dire straits and the general population is full of anger.


Is history about to repeat itself. Some how I don't think that fair play and equality for all is on the SF agenda.

Pass the parcel isn't expensive. Kids don't care about the price of things. Two or three toys from the €2 shop and plenty of wrapping paper. You should stretch about 40 minutes out of that and the kids love it.

I only had one birthday party when I was wee......unlike Lorraine Caldwell who seemed to have one every year. (not that I'm bitter and resentful 45 years later!)
