Sinead knows she has problems with people and relationships. I suspect she thought if she just ignored it, just this once the problems would go away all by themselves. They say insanity can be repeating the same behaviour over and over and expecting a different result.
But hey, like the rest of us, she's human and entitled to a wee bit of compassion God love her.
Just tried this myself. Click on my profile, then view profile and then one of the options in the top bunch is edit color scheme. Use the slider to change the scheme.
Like I said, too far fetched! Give me a mind melt with a Cyberman in the Alpha Quadrant, having just passed through the space time distortion paradox, any time.
I was seeing somebody there for a bit and it was going really well but i ended it because i know the way i get at this time of year and didn't want to ruin her and her daughters Christmas, i feel kind of guilty about that too because it was starting to get serious......ah i don't know
A word from one who has struggled with this subject most of his life. You need to let someone love you for who you are, good times and bad times, in sickness and in health and that includes mental health. If you are waiting to be perfect to be loved then you will wait a long time. The people who care about us, care about the real us, not an image we portray of being rock solid and dependable. We all feel like jelly sometimes. We all feel like a failure sometimes. That's why we need to learn to receive love and not just give it.
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses? Come down from your fences, open the gate It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you You better let somebody love you, before it's too late
I'm getting better with Christmas but it's taken years. I naturally tend to take my mind into the past and think about what I've lost and what might have been. The secret for me is to try to live in the NOW mentally and emotionally and not in the past.
Flushing Nausea Copious Vomiting Sweating Thirst Throbbing in the Head and Neck Throbbing Headache Respiratory Difficulty Chest Pain Palpitations Dyspnea Hyperventilation Tachycardia Hypotension Syncope Marked Uneasiness Weakness Vertigo Blurred Vision Confusion Those are the "mild" symptoms. Severe reactions can include respiratory depression, cardiovascular collapse, myocardial infarction, acute congestive heart failure, unconsciousness, arrhythmias, convulsions, and death.
If the woman won't admit she's got a problem, she's hardly subject herself to this. The drug would driven me to suicide. It should be banned.
There are ways of saying and doing things and turning situations around that are based on love, care and compassion. It takes time, a problem that treatment centres seem to overlook and hence their piss poor record. But that's what happens when people are allowed to relabel the 12 step program as the Minnisota Method for financial gain to bring in health insurance money. It does not work and it kills people.
It is impossible to have an objective look at yourself in a few weeks. The psychosis from the last binge lasts 90 days alone, never mind causes and conditions. To confront people in that time period usually causes so much pain, they immediately reach for their anaesthetic of choice on release.
Yours and others notion of an Arbeit Macht Frei approach to the treatment of alcoholics....or sink or swim.....assumes that the sufferer has the wherewithal to help themselves. More often than not, they do not. That is why my own fellowship believes that you have to have walked in their shoes to be of any service to them.
RE: What does it mean when irish girl / woman says.........
Yes, and today that man sleeps in Stephen's Green, cries into a bottle of cheap wine and takes drugs. I do hope you're proud of yourself!
