You did ask. You sound selfish. You describe the whole dating thing as to how it affects you and any concern for the girls involved sounds improvised purely to impress like the little comment about having a few quid in the bank. I think women sense this sort of thing and run for the hills.
Nowadays your engine is computer controlled and that computer monitors everything from temperature, exhaust quality, oil pressure, fuel injection to engine ignition timing and the like.
As you drive, that computer takes input from sensors which it uses to control your engine for optimum performance and economy. So your engine settings are constantly being changed as you drive unbeknown to you.
When the management light comes on, the computer stops using these inputs and switches to fixed factory set values which keep the car running but less economically with reduced performance but perfectly safely. It's purely to stop you and me getting stranded so it's doing exactly what it's designed to do. It's like using your PC in safe mode.
When one of these sensors fails or a genuine fault develops, that management light comes on to let you know the fault is there. Your mechanic will plug in his computer to your car which will tell him where the fault is.
The last thing he will do after, is to clear the fault in the computer so as to put it into normal driving mode again. It's more than likely that one of the sensors is faulty.
Cos you're meant to use the slip road to reach road speed with the cars you are joining, find a space and merge in. Some people try to join at 45 mph causing other vehicles to change speed or direction and this is dangerous. Others insist on trying to overtake on the slip road as they join which is also dangerous. The road speed is dictated by the cars already on the motorway you are joining.
Passing a law encouraging people to brake on a motorway would be absolute madness.
How many more times? The man was tried, sentenced and in prison! Norris did not try to have his sentence reduced. He wrote the letters after an attempted suicide by his ex partner whilst he was in an Israeli prison. But why let the truth get in the way of a good character assassination? Do you ever listen or investigate anything or just follow the herd like the other sheeple?
The Declaration of Arbroath (1320) was the first statement as to equality among all people and separation of church and state ever. It was used as a reference in the creation of the US constitution and bill of rights.
Not bad for a wee town on the east coast of Scotland.
Ah, people never cease to disappoint me too! I liked him as well and to find he was yet another with his 'snout in the country trough' makes me question my own judgement.
Even I'm a bit dismayed that Norris has had his snout in the trough for years with a disability claim whilst on a senator's salary. Hero to zero in a few weeks. I suspect his campaign is over this time. What think ye?
I'd be the same myself. It's one of the Sophie's Choice decisions. I'd obviously chose life for my child but it would be one of those decisions that would haunt me forever. I was googling Chinese executions lately in a reply to another thread and there were a series of pics of this beautiful young Chinese girl's execution. Her jumper makes her look so vulnerable and human. I'm only posting the first pic of the series. The rest are too disturbing.
But it's a far cry from the pic I had in my head of old men in pointy hats.

@ Macattack. I moan about this every time because you Dubs without fail, create a Dublin meet right on top of every other meet that's arranged because you're too mean or bone idle to travel and expect the rest of us to come to Dublin. There have been very few meets this year but of course you had to wait and do it again.
Imagine being the parent of the condemned. Imagine how you would feel knowing your child is to lose his or her life at the hands of another human being and being powerless to stop it. And imagine carrying that despair around for the rest of your life.
Just who is being punished. A sharp snap of the neck and the condemned's problems are over. The families anguish will last forever.
Yet again the Dubs try to organise a meet to collide with one that is already planned cos they expect the rest of us to travel but they wont! Why not wait till November so you don't affect the Cork meet?
