RE: ONlY 3 more sleeps

Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed are very, very hot...not sure who they play in Twilight but I have enjoyed their other work laugh

RE: ONlY 3 more sleeps

This reminds me of the Facebook group called "Girls stop flicking your bean over Twilight and make me a bacon sandwich" rolling on the floor laughing

Not that I would ever say that...Slowly backs out of the room...

RE: Height

Don't forget intelligence...girls are supposed to like intelligence and whatnot laugh

RE: Any good books

I really liked the three of them.

I'd add Jane Eyre, Manhattan Transfer, Age of Innocence and The Book of Evidence too. Too many really to name, could be here all year listing books I like. But those particular books and the ones I've posted above all had a significant role in my reading history.

RE: Who do you think should be a virtual couple.....

Think I'm the winner out of that pairing laugh

RE: Who's the last person...

Aww blushing

RE: Who's the last person...

Pity the men of today were not as good as the heroes of old laugh

oh and as is probably obvious my family are from Wexford!

As for the views...still Modern_Fairy!

RE: Who's the last person...

Ah the purple and gold, it's the dream I still hold laugh

RE: Who's the last person...

With ace strawberry selling skills like that, you could only be from Wexford laugh

RE: Who's the last person...

Modern Fairy...to quote Wayne's World she's magically babelicious laugh

RE: Any good books

I like it, it can be difficult to depict a dystopian future. Nineteen-Eighty-Four obviously did it the best though. I loved that book and it has become so relevant today

RE: Any good books

My first answer to this is A Confederacy Of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. My favourite book ever. It is really, really worth reading. Anybody with a good sense of humour should like this book. I basically will refuse to talk to anybody that does not like it laugh

At the minute I am reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, which is an excellent book so far.

I semi-thought of putting up a big list of books everybody should read but I decided against it!

RE: Wexford Meet - a regular thing...

There's a Dublin gang? wow

RE: Height

Aww that is sweet. I agree, never say never!

RE: Height

RE: Height

Well it is not ALWAYS a bad thing for a girl to look down and see a guy rolling on the floor laughing

RE: What's cooking!

I need neighbours like that! Everybody needs good neighbours as they say laugh

RE: Height

I take it your head would explode if you read a book

RE: Height

Oh no I told him...damn there will be tears at dinner tonight in the Bundy household laugh

RE: england

You do not have a team of professional footballers trying to get the ball off of you.

RE: england

A solid Scott Parker type would have made them hard to beat, but it would not win the World Cup. They still would not have had the ball. They would not have won the tournament. Dropping Gerrard would be the first thing I would do. He cannot listen and do as he is told. He left gaping holes on the left wing yesterday that Lahm and Muller took advantage of quite often. This current team are at their maximum though. Getting rid of the "star" culture would be a good thing but it is not the answer.

They have to be taught from the bottom rung how to pass the ball, football intelligence etc. English players can play in one way and one way only.

RE: england

England are terrible at passing the ball!! They CANNOT do it. They have not got the midfielders to pass the ball. They have 2 good attacking midfielders, but they specialise in getting in the end of moves and taking shots. They have no decent ball playing players. It is no shock that they once again were poor at keeping the ball against a bad team. It happens all the time.

RE: england

Mourinho regularly dropped Cole. When Duff and Robben were fit, they played. He once brought him off after 20 minutes against Fulham for showboating and not doing as he was told. Crouch has boosted his goals tally against Jamaica and the likes in friendlies.

Capello's record as a manager speaks for itself. He is a great manager.

Here is what Roy Keane said today

RE: england

Ireland did that in a friendly against an under strength Algeria. I do think we are better than them, but that is an important thing to note. In 1994 we beat Germany and Holland in friendlies. Didn't mean too much when the Dutch beat us 2-0 in the second round.

Robbie Keane is much better than Heskey.

RE: england

Heskey was awful against USA and Algeria. 3 goals last season and only 7 ever for England. Joe Cole has consistently been dropped by all his managers, there is a reason for that trend. He is selfish and lacks end product.

The unfit players was a problem but it is not as if there was a lorry load of excellent players waiting in the wings. If Rooney did not play, then it would be Crouch or Defoe. Not exactly David Villa.

Roy Keane gave a great interview today about the English players on Sky.

RE: england

When Ireland qualified for major tournaments (88, 90, 94 and 2002) they have had many players (more in 88 and 90) at top teams in England. Italia 90 and Euro 88 had Irish players full of players at league winning teams.

Plus what you describe as punching above our weight would be a failure for England (in their minds). England do not bottle it, they are not good enough. The three you mention are effective in teams designed around them. Rooney has Giggs, Valencia, Nani, Scholes etc at United who are all comfortable on the ball and make numerous chances for him. That doesn't happen at England. They were totally outplayed yesterday. Their woeful technique was very obvious.

Plus it is not as if many of their players played well last season. Lampard and Rooney yes...but other than that they were all average or worse. Gerrard was very poor last season when he did not have Alonso to cover him up. Gerrard is a liability when the team is not designed around him.

RE: What's cooking!

Great minds eh? Yeah they come in handy as a lunch the next day.

RE: What's cooking!

Big time...I've had a few years of eating the same dinner 3 days in a row. Nothing worse than going to the bother of making something and then it not being as nice as first hoped.

Oh and Tupperware ftw laugh

Today's dinner will be chicken fajitas. Tasty!

RE: Height

How it didn't get multiple Oscars I'll never know laugh
