RE: Iran....

Soooo many intelligent Americans were speaking out against that war and advising against it but it is not about intelligence in America it is about wealth and power and good republican manipulation strategies. There are many intelligent rich people who backed bush too, some he said at a dinner fund raiser would call them the elite, but he calls them his base.

RE: Iran....

Thank you Oceans for taking the time to right all of this out. A lot of it I witnessed and I knew about the neo-cons but have never heard it explained so well before that it makes it clear.

RE: Iran....

What about the Freedom of Facts Medal that Tenet got was that part of the coverup? You said Powell knew he was lying. So he was lying based on Tenets intelligence. I think Tenet gave them what they wanted. But he also took the fall and got his medal.
Do you know if the neo-cons influenced Tenet?

RE: Iran....

I really don't understand what the problem is with the inspectors wanting to do a more precise job and wanting more time. Bush misled American's and congress with lies and hyped intelligence to RUSH to war. Bush should be impeached.

RE: Iran....

The inspectors were in there and had to leave or they were going to be bombed. We are suppose to be an intelligent country the World Power, it is a disgrace the way Bush went in there and treated the rest of the world. He really didn't care, he had his own agenda.

RE: Iran....

I really don't think they got rid of stock piles of WMD that fast and the inspectors said that they were surprised that America thought they were going to go in there and find stockpiles of WMD. Maybe BushCo was acting the same way...paranoid.

RE: Spare Britney??

Well, I guess it is embarrassing when you go to Vegas and get drunk and get married in a night and the media exposes it. But I think Britney has some issues she needs to deal with even if the media wasn't involved. The media didn't make her get drunk and get married, she is impulsive and probably really needs help for alcohol and/or drugs. Mariah Carey had a melt down and went into an institution and came back stronger than ever. Too bad Whitney Houston couldn't have done it before she self-destructed. They are actually only human like everyone else and need to admit their problems to get help.

RE: Iran....

The thing is that the UN and the inspectors had it right with Iraq. But Bush called the UN irrelevant.

RE: Iran....

Hi alada,

"but why is it that the rest has to believe in the "word" or "promise" of larger potencies holding WMD, their promise that they won't attack? What's to guarantee that? We all have seen what a larger country in possession of a larger armament does; it does not hesitate to come down at the smallest hint of a threat, wether real or not. Attack now, find out later."

This is what bothers many Americans who believe in fairness and justice and do not like to see bombs being dropped on people, followed by much bloodshed. We believe there could be more fair policies and peaceful solutions. War should always be a last option.
I hope our Senate and Congress can keep Bush under control now. He came in as a failure wanting to make a legend and that is still his driving force, to not be a failure and leave with a good legency in my opinion.

sorry to hear of your condition. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Iran....

I know it is all kind of sad. We have who I consider a wonderful, very intelligent, enlightened, young first term Senator, Osama Obama.
And to listen to him speak will just move you. He is Mulatto. But I was on a forum last night and there are still rednecks in the South that were saying they would not vote for a black man. And that is the way it will be. Not all of them are prejudice and closed minded like that but I still believe the majority are easily manipulated and they react with emotions and not their heads. And they have been angry and prejudice for a long time. And they are not going to vote for a woman either, so it has me a little worried. But I only hope that we get someone in who can actually speak coherently and use diplomacy. And someone who will work for peaceful solutions and to take care of our own country.

RE: Iran....

It is the South states that got Bush elected twice. Maybe this is their way of trying to rise. blues

RE: What are the things women look for in man

I am a libra and one of our characteristics is a passion for beauty.
I have gone for the beautiful before and ended up with a beautiful disaster. Now, I look deeper than the skin for beauty. I look for spirit and intellect and humor is nice.
