I once asked this woman at the laundromat what fragrance she was wearing, because I thought it was sooo great............If I remember correctly, it was " Whisper " by Fashion 220. My Sister had a neighbor who sold the line, so I had her order me a bottle. When she smelled my bottle, she ordered some for herself. But this was probably 40 years or more ago.

If you people aren't already aware of it, there is a site called " Hagerty barn finds ", or something similar that will get you connected. It shows some of the amazing vehicles just setting in peoples' garages and barns, many of us would love to be able to have some of the cars he discovers. He goes around the country, looking for these stored vehicles............

And for bikes, punch in " Sturgis bike week," or about anything with Sturgis should bring up videos of bikes, babes, etc.

One of my H S classmates' parents had a Hudson Hornet...I suppose maybe a '51 or '52........not real sure.

I would have liked to have been able to see a TUCKER when they were in production.........from what I have read about them, they were ahead of their time; and very innovative with some of the car's features, with the center mounted head light that turned with the wheels, so the light turned with the steering wheel, helping to see better at nite.

The Internet allows us to communicate with people all over the world, and as a result, oftentimes, they are hundreds, if not thousands, of miles from us.

I suppose the distance between people often lessens the chance of two people connecting, due to the expense of travel; whether it be by auto, or plane. I would say that it would take a very strong connection between two people for them to want to go to the expense of traveling very far, ( farther than a reasonable driving distance.)

So yes, I would agree that in earlier times, ( before the Internet ) the chances of singles meeting and dating were probably greater than today.......but that is just my opinion. But years ago, you usually met singles from one or two towns away, so it wasn't a big deal as far as distance was concerned.

Times have changed !!!
