Because there is a short term interest in finding old untaxed money still on account and that is politically driven.
They tried with a 7 pages long anti-money laundering information form, they dried by limiting unscreened amounts let to be sent via transfer from a bank to another, they tried again the same by adding all such transfers for one full year per person, they tried by making amends to taxes and import fees in exchange for information and some tax income (Luxembourg) etc.
Tax evasion is an interesting subject - active tax planning is seen as intent in Sweden.
I find it all ridiculous, and I only support their tries to access account information when the source is an internationally accepted form of crime. Tax evasion in Norway is not a crime in Spain for example...
Swiss banks cooperate as much as all the other when it comes to pursuit of criminally earned funds, as long as it is considered a crime there too.
Swiss is really on the White list of offshore countries, and will stay there, no worries. But the financial situation in the world might force them to a similar agreement as the one with Lux. Future will tell.
Btw... saved money in Swiss cost Swiss tax for everyone even the foreigners AND is subject to a law that say that if CH gets drawn into a war situation these funds will be locked and used in support for upholding the defence of Switzerland.
I wonder how many advisers that inform their client of this little clause
I notice three things... lets take them in order of appearance:
Your profile, first look, without reading anything: Way too classy, you are on CS you know, dress down and join the general display of financial despair. A nice guy who sift through profiles would pass by your photos in a flash of an eye
Your presence: To contradict the above, more activity in the forums would have changed that, there are quite a few more sharp looking ladies here but we know them for how they are in communication with them and that makes them a part of the crowd - thus accessible to the "nice guy".
Your info: Now there is the real stuff, and it is not that what have kept you from getting in touch with the serious people. They just never got that far because of the above.
My suggestion - give it another try, spend an hour now and then in here writing nonsense with all of us and things will change.
Note: Nice guy = male person with a will to commit in a proper fashion when met a similar "nice gal".
Of course things like drinking problems or drugs in general, sickness and other things can distort the attention of the parent, even make them unfit guardians.
But as Sweden have its own share of alcoholics I must say that it seems to be the most secure kids that commit this wild acts, as if they think the world could harm them (looking at myself and in my passport...)
The kids in families where they have troubles more often seem to try to stay home and help out or join up with other kids and make up for the lack of a "real family". Not venture out alone on a walkabout with an air of secure self that makes adults let you pass for someone on "legit business"
I am a laymen in these terms, I have seen very few things to support my thinking, it is more a feeling in my gut, and it could be wrong. I only have my own child hood to refer to.
When I was 4, I sneaked off to the mall, as this chap did. Why? Well, you see, I had seen that the people in the library had money in a glass bowl, and I knew that money was needed to buy sweets.
The story ended with my father finally finding my under our terrace (it was a great place to hide, as I did know, that leaving from home unwarranted was not allowed ) eating sweets and having more money to spend.
I still remember the buzz of people around me, the police, everything. I was four... I had walked to the library, took money from the pot, entered the store and picked up sweets which I then paid for with this money and then back home again. No one interfered.
At seven I had a bicycle. One day my mum got a call from a friend telling her I was there. The friend lived in a house 11 km from home...
At ten, I took the train to visit my biological father. I had only gone there by car before, but I was p*ssed on my mum and wanted to leave. (Well, you know, the run-away story). I took a train, got to the right city 400 km away, left from the station and found my way to his house.
Did I have a bad child hood, was I abused or anything like that?
No.
I was simply a naturally born globetrotter and adventurer - I am still on my way, but now-a-days I know that the money in the Library is not for people to take. Most of all, I was a boy then as boys are most.
RE: Would you still want me ?
What? A race car?Yeah !
