For the question - I read first the threads I have posted in earlier, then those with a catching headline, then those where OP is a person I like reading from and last, the rest.
I read the OP, the last few to see if it has stayed within subject and then, if so, a few from here and there. If it is a very interesting subject, I read it all, but bit by bit, no way I sift through 20-30 pages in one go. Ever

I agree thoug - tax is the premium for the insurance we receive from the state in form of healthcare, infrastructure, education etc etc. They need to be paid and you seldom question the premium for a fire insurance or how it works, we shoul respect tax the same.
On an individual level tax is most often a simple issue of where you live and work.
On corporate level it is a very differnt thing.
But there are countries that taxes taxed money, three and four times or endless times.
What is right for me and you may be very wrong for our friends.
There is a difference between discrete banking and offshore tax "paradises".
The former is there to protect the client from prying eyes; be it the neighbour, gold diggers, the evening press or a robbing state, all are treated the same.
The latter is there to attract international business, most often as the country have no or very small means of growing their economy otherwise.
We often think of Isle of Man, Bahamas and similar, but if I say Ireland, UK, Sweden, Netherlands - would you do the same association?
An exempt company in such a jurisdiction would normally be allowed to trade only international and pay a fixed yearly or low percentage tax plus having one or two locals emplyed for the management.
The use of offshore have increased as our world got smaller and today we use it as any other way of simplifying business. The regulations to allow for this is there and the world would loose a great deal of business if it was not.
I think I maybe sometimes reads my own feelings wrong, what I embarressed feel is jealousy maybe simple can be seen as concern.

When I see a man sending Andreea flowers, gifts or sweets I feel a pang of jealousy. Of course I also know that she despice yellow or red roses, really any roses, that that perfume is not what she would have chosen and it will most certainly end up with a friend somwhere, that apart from kinderegg she eat no sweets at all.

Jealousy on a healthy level should not alarm us, it should comfort us.but it should never rule is.
As my Andreea never joined this site or any other, she would have a strong point in asking me to leave from here.
