RE: Is it better to be.......

That's why I didn't bother to explain it...

RE: Is it better to be.......

There are no selfless acts, they are performed by a "self",

and that "self" has a reason.

RE: Is it better to be.......

Love and fear are both powerfull, but you have more options if you are loved.

You can instill fear in those who love you,

more easily then you can intill love in those who fear you.

RE: you see someone u like now what

Winking is tricky stuff, it has to be spontaneous,

otherwise it goes over about as well as talking about yourself...

in the third person

RE: you see someone u like now what

I establish, and maintain, eye contact until she smiles, or makes

the restraining order face.

RE: Just wanted to say hi!

Well you put on the helmet, and seat belt,

and I'll take the two blue pills,

and we'll....

Oooops, sorry forgot you are new...blushing

Nothing to see here,

carry on.

Random.

...and then it was gone.

So much for the little engine that could.

RE: Just wanted to say hi!

Hi Lyrical...enjoy your stay.

RE: The Movie Line That Fits....

Smile and wave boys,

smile and wave.

RE: what do Americian men think of British woman

hug

RE: what do Americian men think of British woman

I've only known one british woman, and I liked her.

Come spend a summer in southern Michigan...

maybe I like you too.

RE: How would you fund education if you were in the position

I was being sarcastic...

I don't have to trust you, I know you're right.

It would soon become many people's problem,

just as the other two issues I mentioned have.

Non-sarcastic answer...

I would handle it with a federal tax, to take the regionalism out of it. Create to true level playing field, unlike our current system wherein more affluent areas have a large budget per student.

Sidenote...
I am also in favor of an import tax. I would base it on a standard of living index. If you want to import something here, you need to be paying a living wage were you produced it. If your not, we would tax your import by an amount as to make them an equal cost to the consumer, as the products of companies that do pay fairly. Our corporations would benefit from the level playing feild, and the revenue from the taxes could be used to help fund our social programs.

RE: How would you fund education if you were in the position

I would charge the parents, I beleive in this state each child is worth about $7,000 to the schol disrtict. I would bill their parents. If we don't need solidarity in the form unions to protect our wages, or socialized medicine to care for our citizens, why should I pay for somebody else' kid's education.

Two kids would cost $14,000 a year, to be paid in advance.

If you don't pay, they don't go. If you can't afford it?

That's just not my problem.

Put up or shut up....

It would appear that moral superiority

doesn't come without sacrifices.

Windows...
I don't think windows is giving many copies of their software away to hardware manufacturers for free, anymmore.

Movies...
I can't beleive I should have to ask them too. If they believe the profits from those movies are funding "The Evil Empire".

Google...
Using google contributes to it's income. What they sell is exposure to their users.

Put up or shut up....

Widely consumed American products, off the top of my head...

our entertainment industry,

automobiles, google,

windows...

Put up or shut up....

Funny thing about about apologies, the people first to offer them are often the last to owe them, as is the case with you Lee. I'm not talking about the people who offer thoughtfull rational opinions.

Put up or shut up....

No to be misunderstood...

I'm the first one to throw up my middle finger and scream "we can do better", but I'm just more the a little tired of the sanctimonious idiots saying things like..."The U.S. economy relies on war mongering." while they are contributing to the very same economy.

It's about half smart.

Put up or shut up....

If America is soooo evil, nothing but a bunch of greeding war mongers.

Maybe those of you who hold this opinion should stop contributing to the problem. Our government relies on money to commit it's acts, through out the world. Of course that money comes from taxes. So simply stop buying, and using our products. Until you're willing to take that one small step, stop pointing your finger at us, and have a nice tall glass of....STFU.

RE: The really ripped guys...

Lately?...I tend to smirk,

and go about my business...

most of the time.

RE: can online friendship survive after meeting in person

Very few of my relationships have survived backstepping from romantic to friendship, online, or off. It's rare and messy enough, that I don't even bother trying to make that happen anymore.

You are risking your online friendship, when you meet in person. That doesn't really bother me much, the potential gain outweighs the potential loss, in my opinion.

RE: Don't Rock The Boat....

I left lots of things not said, all the time.

When refusing to eat half cooked chicken causes a fight,

I'm not going bother with the small stuff.

RE: somewhat stupud here

Change your number.

RE: I'm holding something small, hard and slimey...any idea what it is?

.....dunno

but it's a goldfish....

cause I said it was.

RE: I'm holding something small, hard and slimey...any idea what it is?

Let go of the goldfish,

he doesn't like that!

RE: Right to die ... right or wrong?

I believe it is everyones right to choose the course of their life,

including it's end, that's why it's called "their" life.

Who am I, or any of you,

to choose the course of another person's life.

RE: INCONVENIENT TRUTH....(GLOBAL WARMING)

I never made the transition into attempting to change it,

other than expressing my veiws on the topic to those who would listen.

RE: INCONVENIENT TRUTH....(GLOBAL WARMING)

I doubt I was even 10 years old the first time I wondered how much of the earth we could alter before those alterations began to effect our ability to survive here.

Rejection of our abilty to destroy our environment is ignorance,

and that level of ignorance in a person smart enough to be able to read,

is ignorance by choice.

RE: I guess playing hard to get really wprks!!

Marriage is great Abra, wives put up with at least twice as much crap as girlfriends do before they leave.

RE: Canada, the Taliban and a practical car.

...or that's just us praticing our art at it's highest form.

Cut and paste personalities...

in this case, if you "hear" the sound, it's obvious.

The fact that we can not hear everything,

doesn't seem like a good reason

to choose to be deaf.
