My 16yo pays board. I receive his Austudy as he is still at school and he works after school/weekends. If the money he earns reduces the amount of Austudy he gets then he pays $50 a week plus he is also responsible for his own mobile phone bill. I was originally charging him $50 every week but all the casual hours were cut and he was reduced to only 3 hrs per week so he wasn't really earning much money at all and it wasn't fair. My second child is currently seeking a casual job too and he will get the same deal too.
You son has it good, don't let him take you for a ride and play his friend's parents against you as you are doing the right thing for you and him.
I still have a relationship with my ex inlaws. It is important for my kids to have that relationship but also my immediate family have a relationship with them. They send each other xmas cards, and I am expecting a parcel for my sisters new baby. It isn't a close relationship but it is a friendly one which I am grateful for. The ex however, hardly has anything to do with anyone, including his own family, I have much more to do with them than he does.
I suck at darts, I have a repetitive strain injury in my shoulder and after a few rounds with my Brother-in-law recently, I had to pack it in coz it was killing me.
I love sport, playing and watching. I get stuck watching the lawn bowls on the television if it happens to be on when I pass the idiot box. Same thing with the Formula 1 when it is on when I go to bed, I can't sleep until I see the end. I used to play a lot such as Vigoro (runner up best bowling average), I used to captain a male squash team and won our fixture, I was sports team captain at school, won that too, also played touch football, volleyball (2 broken wrists and 3 sprained thumbs, mum made me give it up), badminton and have a stack of ribbons and trophies from various events. I love watching the rugby league the most. GO STORM!!! I get really nasty with the television when things don't go my way. I am a great armchair coach, lol. During the State of Origin, I usually host a bbq then watch it in another room to everyone else coz they talk too loud. I don't mind watching anything as long as it is a good competition, I hate watching a walk over even if it is my team winning, boring.
You know that all that fancy fishing stuff catches more fishermen than fish.
I went fishing with my Dad one day in an estuary off the Burdekin River I think it was and all I had was a hand line and I outfished everyone. I even caught a sand crab and a spotted cod at the same time. You should have seen my Dad hopping all over the boat trying to get the net before it let go.
frisking is my idea of a good time. Probably be the best action I have seen for a while.
